CHAMPIONS CUP GRAND FINAL DAY What a day for Berwick College Basketball. Four teams on the biggest stage and two Champions Cup titles coming home to Berwick! Our Junior Boys opened the day against a tough Rowville outfit and set the tone, getting the job done 71–64. Jackson McKay led the way with 19 points, Harrison Snell added 17 and Xavier Hansen finished with 15. Our Junior Girls came into the final in great form, having already beaten Genazzano during the Elite 8. They knew the rematch would be tough, and Genazzano responded strongly to take the final 52–32. Matilda Hobba led our scoring with 9 points, Eva Deguigne added 8 and Destiny Windsor had 5. The Intermediate Boys then delivered an absolute thriller against Rowville. After Rowville got the better of an undermanned Berwick squad at the VSSC tournament earlier this year, our boys turned the tables when it mattered. With Berwick down 1 point with 20 seconds left, Logan Stockx came up huge, attacking the basket and hitting the game-winning lay-up with just 5 seconds remaining to seal a 65–64 CHAMPIONS CUP WIN! Logan finished with 15 points, Dilan Turkan had 14, Stevan Tasic added 12 and Oliver Van den Brink 11. . Our Senior Boys entered the final having beaten Caulfield during the Elite 8, but Caulfield came prepared with a game plan to slow down our boys and claimed the championship 97–78. Aiden Turkkan capped off a huge tournament with 26 points, including six threes, while Boris Rosner had 15 and Zach Morrell added 12. Four teams. Two Champions Cup titles. Two runners-up. One incredible day for Berwick College Basketball. Congratulations to every player and coach who represented the College throughout the competition. #bezculture #berwickcollegebasketball #championscup

Massive congratulations to Kendra Rivet on officially accepting an offer to continue her basketball journey at Central Wyoming College. This is an incredible achievement and a reward for years of hard work, commitment and the way Kendra has gone about her basketball both on and off the court. We couldn’t be prouder to see another Berwick College Basketball Academy student chasing their dreams in the USA. Even better, Kendra will be joining fellow Berwick College alumni Dakota Blacka, giving us all another reason to keep a close eye on the Rustlers throughout the 2026/27 season. We can’t wait to follow your journey, Kendra. Congratulations on an amazing achievement. The entire Berwick College community is proud of you. #bezculture

Congratulations to Year 12 student athlete Latysha Iotua on proudly representing the Cook Islands at the FIBA U18 Women’s Asia Cup in Bangkok, Thailand. Latysha played a key role in helping her team reach the classification games and finish 7th overall in a strong international tournament. Across the event she averaged an impressive 12.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 steals per game. One of the highlights of the tournament came against Samoa, where Latysha put on a shooting clinic, knocking down 7 three pointers on her way to 24 points. To represent your country on the international stage is an outstanding achievement and one the entire Berwick College community is incredibly proud of. Congratulations, Latysha, on a fantastic tournament. We can’t wait to have you back at school and look forward to seeing what comes next. #bezculture #berwickcollegebasketballacademy #cookislandsbasketball #fibau18asiacup
