Folk Library Creations presents a creative EVENT! This event is on THURSDAY 30thΒ APRIL at Hull Central Library (HU1 3TF) and consists of an art exhibition running from 2pm, where you can see the spirit and craft of local art and meet the artists behind it all. Then, later at 5:30pm, acoustic music starts. These are no microphone performances that hope to capture the traditional folk atmosphere and bring the community closer to the words of the performers. The whole event ends at 7pm. ARTISTS: @phatprintcomics @jamesmilocooper @grogglebog @harry_hopper21 MUSICIANS: @sevenspeck @harry_hopper21 El Ponton It is ticketed but FREE as I believe everyone deserves to experience creativity without a price. Thank you @hull.libraries for this amazing opportunity! πŸ”΄TICKETS ON QR-CODE & IN BIOπŸ”΄ #eventmanagement #tickets #art #music #library

Grogglebog goes to Bristol!πŸ‘ΉπŸ‘Ή It was such an ace opportunity to attend the @youthmusicuk Industry Connect conference in Bristol earlier this month with my @wearehinterland bezzies @stewartbaxter & @kieran.mp3_ . 🫧🫧🫧🫧🫧 The experience gave me lots of food for thought and inspired me a whole lot. It got me thinking more deeply into the music industry and how it works against musicians a lot of the time, how it can diminish creativity and passion instead of fostering it, due to barriers in accessibility and its structure, pressures and unrealistic standards/ expectations. Young people are often not taken seriously in general, and the music industry is no exception. When young people manage to access music opportunities, they are often exploited, laughed at, ignored, and chucked in at the deep end with no life jacket, often belittled. Despite my ranting… being around so many like-minded industry professionals of all backgrounds and from across the UK during this event, gave me hope for the future of youth music. There is so much power in community, there is power and strength in numbers, and together we can make change happen for future musicians and ourselves. The work @stewartbaxter & @wearehinterland are doing is a testament to this, for a community is being built, and I’m really proud to be involved.πŸ«‚ If any artists/musicians/creatives/young people/passionate people/anyone would be interested in working with me, or would just like a chat- feel free to contact me @grogglebog . ❣️❣️❣️ Also- it was very nice to meet you 2/5ths of @idlesband ! Ta for the sani πŸ₯ͺπŸ˜„. X
