Jiān Duī (煎堆), or sesame balls, were a staple in my childhood—often ordered or hawked off a dim sum cart at the end of a Saturday lunch in the city. The version I made here is a mix of pumpkin puree, glutinous rice flour, and sugar (recipe via @scallion__baby !!). I initially made them with no filling at all to test how the dough worked, but my grandma liked them so much that I decided to add a filling on my second attempt and settled on using @grounduppdx triple nut crunch butter which I froze into cubes to make it easier to nestle into the dough. Delicious as is, or even better finished with @flybyjing Sichuan chili crisp which adds a delicious savory, spicy dimension.

sad to admit we’ve probably all done no. 5 🥲🥲 NO BUT RLLY run fast af away from anyone who tells you that

1. You should be saving your calories for dinner
2. That you HAVE to hit a certain step goal a day (10k steps a day came from a pedometer marketing campaign in the 60s, not science btw)
3. That coffee is an acceptable breakfast
4. Or that you should cut out whole food groups to “reduce inflammation” before ever looking at your lab work 🤠

being healthy does not mean being restrictive ok!!! Maybe 2027 is the year we all chill tf out and realize that there’s a whole lot of life to live outside of the exact amount of carbs you ate today 🤎😙

Put these Maple Nut Butter Blondies on your fall baking list 🍁🥜🍪

Soft, chewy blondies topped with a maple glaze + chopped pecans = the perfect fall treat! Here’s what you’ll need:

Blondies:
- 1 box @mybetterbatch Classic Sugar Cookie Mix
- 6 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup @grounduppdx Maple Cookie Nut Butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

Maple Glaze + Topping
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup Ground Up Maple Cookie Nut Butter
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 bag @eviessnacks Sweet & Salty Pecans, chopped

INSTRUCTIONS
Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides.

Mix: In a large bowl, mix the cookie mix, softened butter, egg, nut butter and vanilla until well combined and a thick dough forms.

Press: Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan.

Bake: Bake for 20–24 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is set.

Cool: Let the blondies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Do not add the glaze until completely cool!

Glaze: Whisk together the powdered sugar, nut butter, milk and vanilla until smooth. Pour over the cooled blondies and spread evenly. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the top.

Set + Slice: Let the glaze set for 15–20 minutes. Use the parchment overhang to lift the blondies out, trim the edges if desired, and cut into squares!

Comment SWAPS and I’ll send you my full list of cleaner grocery swaps at Target!

You don’t have to give up your favorite foods to start cleaning up what you’re eating.

Honestly, Target has become one of my favorite places to find better-for-you groceries. The options have gotten SO good, and most of the time there’s a cleaner version sitting a few feet away in the same aisle. Same convenience, same craving satisfied, with an ingredient list I feel so much better about.

That’s why I’m always turning packages around.

I’m looking at the oils, sweeteners, artificial flavors, fillers, and additives, then comparing them to the other options right there on the shelf.

Small swaps add up, especially for the foods you and your kids eat every single week. And you don’t need a specialty store to make them. You can do it on your regular Target run 💪🏼

Save this for your next Target trip! 🎯
