While cleaning up I found this little girl peeking 🫣🌱 out the side of the pot. Please excuse the mess. 😬

This is my first propagation of my Alocasia Regal Shield. She lives in non-soil substrate by Noot. Propagated by division. She’s just over 2️⃣ years old. 🥹🪴

I thought the new leaf was unfurling, but it’s a 2nd leaf. The first leaf looks weird. 🧐 Is it just wonky or is it something else? Anyone else ever see this on their Regal Shield? 🤔🌱🌿

This is an offshoot that I separated from the mother plant when I first repotted her 2 years ago. It lives in a soilless medium, The Noot Mix. 🤎

As the mother plant started to decline, I took this cutting and put her in a half and half substrate of Noot & my chunky soil mix, and stuck her on a Thiccly GrowPole. Just to see how she would grow. 🧐🌿 I moved her to the window a couple months ago cause her leaves were small and not so green. Her new leaves are coming in greener and bigger. Soon I’ll add another moss pole. My moss pole army is thriving. I have to rearrange them sometime soon. Everyone is fighting for the one window that doesn’t have a solar screen. 😏🌿🪴☀️

Save my pterodactyl!!

I noticed my variegated pterodactyl had started melting so I decided to investigate. The roots look happy and healthy so I switched out the substrate to @growwithnoot and gave it a big drink.

It’s living in my @ikeausa greenhouse cabinet where it has 80+ humidity, is there anything else you think I should do? Is this just part of the acclimation process? Will it survive (please say yes because I love it so much)???

Both my Regal Shield Alocasias are getting new leaves. 🥰🌱🌿💚

The baby one has been living its best life in a soilless substrate. Thanks, Jenni for turning me on to Noot! 😁
