Earlier this month, I had the amazing opportunity to table at @grzinefest !!

I'm so grateful to have gotten to be part of such a punk-rock event! This was my first ever solo tabling experience, and it couldn't have been a more wonderful introduction :)

Thank you SO much to @ope_sumimasen for organizing such a great event and to @astronomisprime_lens for documenting the fest!!

Thanks also to the zine community for being so welcoming -- especially people who traded zines with me (yay!), the other zinesters tabling at the event, and anyone who stopped by to support DIY art! Go, zines!!

A week removed, @grzinefest was a great experience. It was cool meeting and talking to everyone that came through. My only regret is not making to it to all the tables before we wrapped up.
Special thanks to @sydscauldron and @sadlollipopmountain for lending their creations to the table.

Just over a week later, I’m finally posting a couple @grzinefest recaps! My top 3 zines sold/traded at Grand Rapids Zine Fest, and me at my table. Looking forward to more opportunities to share what I’m making with others.

Big thanks to Sara for ALL the organizing, Austin for covering my table for a quick break, and both of them for making it such a positive, easy day.

Up next is my zine haul!

WOOOO, Grand Rapids Zine Fest yesterday was a blast! Thanks to everyone who stopped by! ❤️‍🔥 Saw many familiar sweet faces and met many new ones :3 and thanks to @smallsmallwitch and @chickswayzine for being rad and hilarious table neighbors, be sure to check out their work! Someone researching zines went around interviewing folks and asked me how I would describe the zine community (Inclusive! Welcoming!) and what motivates me to make zines? I just love how it’s so accessible, a pure form of self-expression or information spreading and sharing of all our different passions and stories together :,)

Someday I hope I can travel and do more fests around the country but I am so grateful to have this local event to look forward to each summer

my random af new zine about ribbon bows and its history! 🎀 16pg printed on @frenchpaperco speckletone madero, with ribbon binding and decorative bow on cover. I sold out at the fest but can make more if anyone is interested, just lmk (and also lmk your fave color cause I can customize your bow hehe)

new stickers!!! :0) now that I finally got the hang of diy stickers to an acceptable degree, I can’t wait to try more designs that swim around in my brain

i promise next ones won’t be digimon themed lol

My @grzinefest haul - mostly traded, which I’m really thankful for!

okay this isn’t from zine fest but I didn’t have a chance to share my zine haul from my recent san francisco trip, so I’m sharing these beauties here now 😍

post-zine fest celebratory dinner 💕Now I can finally rest / begin to tackle the giant mess I made while prepping lol

Thank you all for coming out to @grzinefest and for your support for @brewpress.co. ♥️☕✌️ We're so pumped to see both familiar and new faces from folks in Detroit to Chicago and Cincinnati. 🚗💨💨 Appreciate the warm welcome, talks and trades ✨GR.✨ The turnout and organization of this event is one of the best we've seen of its kind, awesome job to Sara @ope_sumimasen for organizing and getting the GR Zine Fest together, now having finished its 12th year! 😱 Can't wait to see y'all crush the next one.

This is one of the cultural data projects I’ve been working on. An intersection of my work through @greatlakes.art, my love of travel, and maybe a bit of neurodivergence obsession thrown in 😂.

It’s a compilation of fast-snapped photos of every “welcome” sign (75+ mapped in print and on Greatlakes.art) I noticed on a recent roadtrip through Michigan and Ontario. The map is pen-plotted and scanned, with two cover options in reverse.

Today I displayed at @grzinefest, an event that’s eased me back into my creative pursuits over the years; I’ve attended for several years and loaded up on zines to read, gift, etc.

Most of my visual art, music and zines I share under @neonyellow.dot.

Zines really speak to me, someone that reads slow, imagines big, and loves to go down these printed rabbit holes from some else’s mind.
