Pones Teaching Artist Spotlight 🔦

A huge welcome to Garrett one of our new Teaching Artists this year!

Garrett brings a diverse array of experience and talent to our collective, and he’s already been out in the community in Covington schools and even leading a dance party in Washington Park. Read more about Garrett below.

Garrett H. T. Steagall is an SCPA alumnus and holds a BFA in Classical and Contemporary Ballet from UC-CCM. As a professional dancer, certified yoga and Pilates teacher, massage therapist, and sound practitioner specializing in didgeridoo therapy, Garrett explores the intersection of neurology, movement, and human connection. With a background spanning classical ballet to martial arts (Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu), he brings a rich, multi-dimensional perspective to performance and somatic art. Garrett is thrilled to collaborate and create with the Pones team.

Head up. Look up.🌿☀️

There’s something beautiful about being outside, moving your body, connecting with community, and sharing space with people who understand the power of wellness.

I’m grateful to have been part of the 5th Annual Cincinnati Yoga Day alongside so many dope Cincinnati yoga instructors and sound bath facilitators. 🧘🏾‍♀️🫶🏾

During my portion, I shared an affirmation that I meant with my whole heart:

“You are bigger than your circumstance.”

And sometimes we need that reminder. I know I did!

Whatever you’re facing. Whatever you’re walking through. Whatever storm you’re standing in...

Be great anyway. Keep your head up. Look up. Keep going. 💫

Thank you, @inoargyogaanddoula , for having me back and for continuing to create space for wellness, connection, and community. Congratulations on another beautiful @cincinnatiyogaday ! 🎉

5th Annual Cincinnati Yoga Day. 💚

Make sure you drop in next year!!
