We recently conducted our 3rd table read, this time with Cypress College’s APIDA Resource Center. Based on the feedback, it’s safe to say that the script is in a great place and we can focus on next steps. That means crossing the finish line of our fundraising goal (we are so close!) for production to film on Guam early next year! There’s still a lot needed for this to happen, but trust we are working hard and keeping our nose to the ‘lusong’ to bring this story to life. Once we have more updates, we’ll post them here, so stay tuned! If you'd like to be more involved, feel free to reach out to Neil (@neil_tinkham) or Lailanie (@itslailanie) for more information. SYM

My brother and I are truly blessed to have been part of Seilala Love Foundation Presents: The Westside Dreamers Summit 2026 a special event held in memory of Seilala and in honor of her heavenly birthday.

Although I never had the opportunity to meet Seilala personally, hearing the stories shared about her made it clear that she had a heart for her community and a deep passion for empowering youth. Her impact continues to live on through the lives she touched and through the incredible work her family continues to do in her honor.

May God continue to bless your family as you carry on her legacy and everything she stood for. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful day.

The weekend was filled with plenty of events including multiple birthdays & celebrations but I only made it to one: The Westside Dreamers Summit by Seilala Love Foundation 🌱🌊🙏🏽

Seeing the kids enjoy a day meant for them, to push them and help them achieve all that they want to do was more than fulfilling. 🫀

When I was invited to the founders meeting in March, I was so excited and honored. From day one, their vision was clear to me and I saw greatness in all that the foundation could do and become. This first event confirmed that. 💌

Lala was older than me but her inspiration reached all ages. Our families go way back, that’s a story for another time. But as everyone grew up, I started to notice that she understood things the same way that I did when it came to sacrifices, cultural indifferences, goals, and just being able to think and dream beyond our limitations. I always loved that about her and could relate. So it was easy for me to accept the invitation to the meeting in March. My footing has always been in God, community, & family, so what better foundation to be a part of than the one that holds all 3.

To top it off, the foundation runs off of turning grief into purpose and putting love into action. And if you know me, you know that’s actually in direct alignment with my own story and values, so I’m exactly where I want to be. Oh and it puts on for our Polynesians, the representation for our people here is huge.

We gon keep doing right by your name Lala. Happy Belated Birthday, a legendary one it was. Your siblings, your babies, and your people’s love you!!!

I can’t wait for all that’s to come 💫🤍
