We are delighted to announce that our very own @melaniethomasgreaves has been nominated for Women in Meat Industry Independent Retailing award. Melanie won the Women in Meat Industry Awards Wholesaling category in 2020. Since then she has opened Hedone Ascot which has a state of the art boutique butcher’s shop. Melanie is described as unique, a woman who has worked across all areas of the industry in her career. Working with Highland Meats on Scotch PGI, Scotbeef, QMS and Grass Roots Farming, Melanie buys in beef where it is dry-aged at T&G before it is sent across to her butchery. Melanie is a dry-age specialist and is known for outstanding beef within her shop and wholesale company. Other areas of expertise lie in butchery, marketing, sales, displays, product innovation, farming and HR. Melanie has over 13 years’ experience in a challenging industry. Melanie works hard to champion regenerative farming and teaches both butchers and consumers about the UK meat industry.
