@gullydoctor has been involved in Irish dance music for many years. A longtime member of Dublin's Sim Simma reggae & dancehall collective, and with a background in jazz performance, he brings that same adventurous spirit to his production and DJing these days with a freewheeling blend of jungle, hardcore and drum & bass.

Hiii “Tears In The Club” is back on @rinsefrance tonight with a very special takeover from @gullydoctor! An incred musician, DJ and producer, he’s treating us to an hour of soca, kuduro and more sounds from across the Caribbean islands 🌞

In his own words…

“This mix is a tour through some of my favourite soca, dennery segment and bouyon of late, with some old faves and a bit of kuduro for good measure.

To me, these styles represent the cutting edge in any kind of dance music at the minute, and I largely went for tracks that emphasise that fact in my mind. I recorded this in one take and it has a bit of chaos in there as a consequence, but I feel that serves the energy well”

I’m very excited for you lot to hear what’s he has in store! Lock in live from 10pm GMT / 11pm CET tonight at rinse.fr xoxo

TY London 💚💚💚

“…nowhere in the world does diversity like London does, and the carnival is a testament to the strength found in that diversity. To see it as just a party would be unfitting; it’s a powerful and loud statement of resilience, hope, pride and community.“ ~ @obtikare
