Super Sunday in London with late afternoon cocktails/mocktails @aquashard on the 31st floor of @theshardlondon where jovial GM @davidkyleboyd treated us like royalty. Stunning views, top-notch service and expertly poured drinks. Unquestionably a MUST visit when you're in London. Lunch [swipe] was a simple but stunning salt beef sandwich - order it with mustard, cheese & pickles - @boroughmarket (a five-minute walk from The Shard). Today? Well, before an all-singing, all-dancing evening @mammamiamusical we're aiming for the King's Road & Covent Garden, so please give us your top tips for anything decent (restaurants/bars/shops/sights) in that neck of the woods. An immense evening last night @ovohydro as part of a packed crowd to roll back the years in the company of 1980s legends @duranduran (Simon Le Bon must have been about five when they started out FFS!) as they belted out all the hits from my school dance days. (Oh, and unlike so many singers & bands who have perhaps left their best days in the dim and distant past, I reckon they were as good as the Spotify playlist we played on the way home.) Totally brilliant gig - thanks to Mark & Joyce @regularmusicuk for the tickets. Swipe for more photos and all the videos...

The last live day of the event!

A coordinated effort to make sure conference kicks off on time, lunches and refreshments are ready, and that the load out starts as soon as the last bus leaves for the airport.

Sounds easy eh?

Events require a lot of organisation.
When client asks me for an event I think about in my head first and then start to build the idea. That idea becomes people, ones I can rely on - the suppliers who are going to make an idea into a reality.

Last Friday I was calling this in particular project a “real life spreadsheet,” as that’s basically what I was working on for a few weeks until the first delivery landed in the warehouse.

Again, brilliant food and chat from @guyforallseasons and a lot of planning and organisation via my own @panopticevents agency.

Oh, and we managed the load out (minus the marquee) in under 90 minutes.

The last few days have been incredible!

Another incredible day on site on Tuesday.

Delighted to have arranged a major production for our international client.

The morning started with breakfast in the purpose built kitchen in the office space, before watching the team with @guyforallseasons create phenomenal lunch for everyone.

The client enjoyed their conference through the day, then it was time to take them for a cultural event.

We went to the Piping Centre for a post conference drink, then a session to try the Bagpipes - the Europeans were laughing a lot, and so was I - it was hilarious. A great team building exercise - before the group went on to Mharsanta for a dinner - we took over the restaurant.

I setup @panopticevents over 12 years ago to be putting on these types of efents, and I’m very very proud of what was achieved, and how good our extended team have been throughout these last few days!

An assortment of pics & videos from our October 2025 trip to London as we set off for our latest sojourn down south.
This time we're staying at the fabulous @residenceinnkensington (thanks to my old pal @d_j_allan for all his help) and - just for a wee change from flying - we're getting the @avantiwestcoast train from Glasgow to Euston on Friday morning.
