So excited to finally talk about this!... (Link in bio!) An immersive documentary built for an arena, not a small screen. That was the challenge for Run Back the Miracle - which just picked up two Bronze Cannes Lions: Digital Craft (Personalized Storytelling & Experience) and Brand Experience & Activation (Live Brand Experience)!!! Wieden+Kennedy and immersive content studio @prettydamnsweetagram helped Michelob ULTRA bring a historic game to the Herb Brooks Arena in Lake Placid - a one-night-only immersive recreation of the 1980 Miracle on Ice, with holographic gameplay, never-before-seen IOC footage, and the 1980 team themselves back in the room. As long-time collaborators of Pretty Damn Sweet, our team at @philamedia was brought in to help lead story development and editorial, crafting the documentary portion of the show that would play a major role in the hour-long experience. We spent weeks combing through hundreds of hours of newly discovered archival footage, shaped a powerful documentary at the heart of the show, then spent a week on site in Lake Placid expanding the film it to play across multiple projection screens, including: a hologauze scrim running the full length of the ice from goal to goal, a massive curved screen along the back wall, the scoreboard which was converted back to the look of the 1980s- and even imagery projected onto the ice itself. Every transition and emotional beat had to work in three dimensions. It's some of the work we're proudest of. Thank you to Pretty Damn Sweet, Wieden+Kennedy, Michelob ULTRA, the IOC, PIX Productions, and everyone who made it real. Do you believe in miracles? We got to help people feel one. #CannesLions #RunBackTheMiracle #olympics #FilmEditing #Storytelling Reviewing an early cut with the Pretty Damn Sweet team. A final moment of the documentary portion of the show.

NFL Draft - PNC Bank collab with the visionary @aka_omalley and the @playerstribune team. The concept was simple, “Brilliantly Boring”, how to shoot the everyday grind and not overly glorify the process to showcase Caleb’s routine. This project was special, @aka_omalley and the team at the Players Tribune came together to deliver one for the books. And for our crew who hustled to make this happen. Once in a while you get a call to come onto an ambitious project with a lot of creative freedom. When our director Kate, told me she wants this piece be “brilliantly boring”, I thought what a perfect way to showcase the mundane in a sleek yet striking way. Kate and I spend weeks contemplating and creating ideas that would showcase Caleb in that brilliant boring way. This is one of those projects where we had some limits, such as only having 3/hours with talent to capture all of our ideas. But a the end we had a team that pushed and got us what we needed, and yes we hustled. But this project only came together because Kate allowed everyone around her to perform at their best, she gave us the sandbox to play in and we did. This project is special for the expression we got to capture in Caleb and for our director empowering us to create her vision.
