The Arts Schools Network is proud to recognize the George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology as an Exemplary School. GWCCAT has a longstanding commitment to transformative arts education, artistic excellence, and student achievement. Guided by a mission that challenges students to expand their craft, talents, and passions, Carver Center creates an environment where students are empowered to embrace their individuality and innovate in the wider world.

With seven arts primes of Acting, Dance, Design and Production, Digital Instrumental Music, Literary Arts, Visual Art, and Vocal Music, Carver Center offers students an extraordinary depth of artistic study. Every prime is led by working artists, and students engage in rigorous, advanced coursework that prepares them for careers in the arts as well as leading colleges and conservatories.

What makes Carver Center truly exemplary is its culture of continuous reflection, innovation, and collaboration. Faculty members help shape arts education across Baltimore County Public Schools, lead professional development for educators throughout the county, and continually refine their own programs to ensure students have the knowledge, skills, passion, and perspectives to become visionary and courageous leaders.

For more than 30 years, Carver Center has demonstrated what is possible when artistic excellence, academic rigor, dedicated educators, and strong community support come together. Even in the face of evolving financial and staffing challenges, the school continues to adapt, innovate, and protect the transformative arts experiences at the heart of its mission.

Join us October 20–22 as we recognize exemplary schools and celebrate the educators and students advancing arts education across the nation. Learn more at: www.asnconference.org
