We offer free taster classes for total beginners to experience the warmth and magic of this dance at 9pm every Friday - it comes with your ticket! No pre-registration needed, just walk in. It was a bittersweet day at @klswings on 28 June 2026 as we bid goodbye to our beloved scene leaders, Jenn & Iylia, with the biggest Farewell Class our usual studio has ever seen. We squeezed almost 40 people into the space as we learned special tuck turns, knee slaps, and brought it all together in 20 minutes as we choreographed our final performance with Iylia and Jenn. From the new core team, we are so deeply grateful for the leadership, heart, care and generosity Iylia and Jenn have shown us over the years. It is no mean feat inheriting a volunteer community filled with so much diversity and moving parts, but we will keep nurturing the incredible, loving culture they have built over the past five years, as evidenced by this dazzling last class. Happy retirement ♥️ We will do you proud. Send love to Iylia, Jenn and Lee En (our beloved admin who is also retiring) in the comments! 🫶🏻 ⊹ Socials and regular classes are still proceeding as usual. There is a specific kind of burnout that comes from suppressing the unlived parts of you. Looking back, it wasn’t so much that TAA was “wrong”. The picture was just incomplete. I am more than my Bubbliness. I am more than my Warmth. I am more than astrology and horoscopes and forecasting and all the boxes I was putting myself in. I am always becoming More. This is what rebuilding looks like: A broken foot. Letting go of commitments. Learning to sit with the unknown. Learning to trust my own timing.
