I watched the film "Mafia!" Last night. I liked it! Mafia! Is an offbeat , goofy, and absolutely hilarious parody of the gangster film genre with a lighthearted humorous wit, hysterical gags, and quirky likable characters.

The awesome script by Greg Norberg, Michael McManus, and director Jim Abrahams tells a silly story that pays homage to the genre and is steeped in pop culture. It's a story of making something of yourself, family, love, and crime.

Lloyd Bridges leads a great ensemble cast that includes Jay Mohr, Christina Applegate, Billy Burke, Pamela Gidley, Olympia Dukakis, Joe Viterelli, Tony Lo Bianco, Blake Hammond, Vincent Pastore, Marisol Nichols, Sofia Milos, Louis Mandylor, and Jason Fuchs.

The cinematography is well done by Pierre Letarte, and it is accompanied by a solid score by John Frizzell. It's expertly edited by Terry Stokes and has some superb costume design, set decoration, art direction, and production design. Jim Abrahams did a fantastic job directing this cute, funny, and clever parody that I would recommend.

I watched the film "Hulk" yesterday. I liked it! Hulk is a compelling, stylish, and artistic take on the Marvel Comics superhero that has some fun action sequences.

The very good script by James Schamus, John Turman, and Michael France(based off the character created by Stan Lee & Jack Kirby) tells a more grounded story that's more rooted in the psychology of the character. It's a story of science, love, family, the past, trauma, and power.

Eric Bana gives a superb nuanced performance. There are also some great performances from Jennifer Connelly, Sam Elliot, Josh Lucas, and Nick Nolte. Bana & Connelly have wonderful chemistry with each other.

The cinematography is outstanding by Frederick Elmes, and it is accompanied by a riveting score by Danny Elfman. It's masterfully edited in a comic book style by Tim Squyres and has some solid costume design(Marit Allen), set decoration(Cheryl Carasik), art direction(John Dexter & Greg Papalia), and production design(Rick Heinrichs). Ang Lee did a splendid job directing this pensive, downbeat, and unique drama that I would recommend.

I was scrolling through my phone to post some American Primeval pics and my finger slipped down a year to Horizon. I loved working on this Mission set, it was so much fun putting these sets in such beautiful locations.

Last two pics are when the weather wrapped the set for us.

Much thanks to Derek Hill for having me on this one and Greg Papalia for being the best set designer in the biz!
