Today marks 1 year since I took my very first dance class!

It all started when @scarletvonpuss and I were chatting and she was talking about burlesque and invited me to go to a class. My first response was “I don’t really dance”. Crazy to think I said and thought that at one point. She then invited me to go to one of the shows she was performing. My first burlesque show I’ve ever seen was @showmeyourkitties_cabaret April 2025 show. I was in such awe of all of the beautiful ladies and seeing my friend Scarlet in her element.
Seeing the way the audience so much energy and cheers and seeing have so much fun doing it!!

One year ago today I was at work talking casually with my boss who mentioned he used to do salsa classes all the time and how he misses it, and I thought to myself maybe I should try doing that burlesque class that Scarlet was telling me about. That class was @imdaphnemoon Monday class!
At the time my self esteem was in the dumps and I did not feel comfortable with my body. For the first 3 months I was REAAALLLYYY bad at it but I wanted to stick with it and get better at it!

One year ago I would have never guessed that in one year I would have already performed 9 shows. The experience of doing burlesque for one year has boosted my confidence and that confidence leaked into all aspects of my daily life.

Slide 3 & on our from our WiLD Wednesday roll out celebrating Megan’s 1 yr skate anniversary!! We stopped to eat at @roundtablepizzalongbeach 🍕stayed out too late & had the BEST time!!
May throw in little roll outs here and there, the path to the pier was smooth (a little sandy in some parts) and the breeze felt amazing on the pier! 🌬️ my lil skate heart fluttered again yesterday(as it’s been a while) and I appreciate those who actually hear me (us) & stand by us 🫶🏽✨💓

Explored @angelsgateart this weekend at the San Pedro Arts Open and got suuuper inspired 🤩 Like fr fr! I got to see a really cool variety of work by @vvsoftchickvv @florakaoart @kyongboonoh @saraswatioblak @yozmit @ann_weber_sculpture @annonymous_cynist and a bunch more.

Two years ago I got fired from my corporate job… and now I’m a showgirl 💃🏻✨

Last week I started my act in a business suit and ended it as a showgirl, a transformation that felt a little too real.

Somewhere along the way I stopped measuring my own worth by a job title and started becoming a more confident, fearless version of myself. A woman who isn’t afraid to start over and try something completely new.

This was one of the best nights of my life 🥹

I’m so grateful I got to share the stage with so many talented women and watch their creativity shine ✨

Thank you @daphnemoonofficial , you truly changed my life. I’m so honored to be a Moon Gem 🌜💎
