POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Lived Experiences Heard. Real voices. Real change.
💚🧠💚

This year’s World Mental Health Day theme is a reminder that lived experience is a form of expertise. While people are invited to tell their stories; their voices should help shape the programs, services, policies, and decisions designed to support them.

Today’s call to action is personal: CHECK IN WITH YOURSELF TOO!
("SELF, YOU GOOD❔️"🤳🏾)

Mental Health America offers free, confidential online mental health screening tools for depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and other concerns. Screening is NOT a diagnosis, but it can help you identify symptoms and consider appropriate next steps.

TAKE A MENTAL HEALTH TEST: Mental Health America Screening Tools - https://screening.mhanational.org/screening-tools/

And then take the next step your results or your own instincts tell you may be needed:

👄 Talk with someone you trust

🔗 Connect with a provider

🤓 Seek additional support

Your voice matters. Your experience matters. Your mental health matters.

Join us this morning, Wednesday, October 7 at 9:30 AM via Zoom for our first 2026–2027 Get Your Green On Campaign Meeting.

We’re inviting residents, community partners, agency representatives, youth-serving organizations, advocates, and anyone who wants to help shape this year’s campaign to join the conversation as we refresh, reimagine, and plan together.

💚 I'm honored and grateful to share that I'll be serving as a Breakout Speaker at the 5th Annual NAMI Pathways to Hope Conference! 💚

For the past five years, this incredible conference has brought together faith leaders, mental health professionals, educators, advocates, caregivers, and community members to explore how faith and mental wellness can work hand in hand to bring healing and hope.

I invite you to join me for my workshop:

Healing Beyond the Sanctuary: Trauma-Informed Faith Supports for Real Lives

We'll discuss: ✨ Trauma-informed principles for faith communities
✨ Reducing mental health stigma in the church
✨ Recognizing signs of emotional distress
✨ Building bridges between faith, mental health, and community resources

Whether you're a pastor, ministry leader, therapist, educator, caregiver, advocate, or someone simply passionate about supporting others, this conference is for you.

A charge to keep we have to pause, to take a look over thyself, a charge to keep to care for my brothers and sisters mental health, a charge to keep we have to hold one another up after we have lifted ourselves up. A charge to keep we have to glorify the truth and fulfill the masters will. His will is divine and made for this time!
Keep the charge and heal, do something new!
