The last month has flown by! Thankful that despite taking a backseat to enjoy (and survive 😅) being a new mom, my gallery has been doing well. The last show I planned before Ari arrived is our annual holiday exhibition. This year’s is called The Nice List and features 60+ artworks all under $500. Here’s a peek at several of the fun things I curated. 🎁 🤩

Exhibition runs through Jan 4th on the @pxpcontemporary website and our @artsy page!

Okay, so she’s not actually new - you’ve seen her work featured in the Headwaters Gallery, and as the proud new artist of studio 201 - but this girl deserves a formal introduction!

We’d be lying if we said these were a favourite pieces - we love them, but our favourites…well those are waiting for in her studio!

Happy Halloween! 👻

Today is the last call for @h.marfleet cookie paintings. Want to learn more about them? We have an exclusive interview with the artist that just dropped on our blog. Here’s a little snippet:

When did you start the series and how did you choose which cookies you wanted to paint?

I came up with the idea in April of this year. I had a couple of small circular canvases sitting around for a while that I wasn’t sure what to do with. It felt like a “light bulb” moment when got the idea to make them into cookies!

Any SLOW art fans? 🐌

🤚🏽 While I do enjoy a timelapse every now and then, I always prefer Real life over Reel life.

Here’s a snippet of PxP artists in REAL time because we’re big on process over here!

Have a great week ahead 💕

Have you ever… 🐈‍⬛

had a certain scent take you right back to a memory in your childhood? I feel like these paintings work the opposite. One look and you can remember the smell and perhaps even the taste of these cookies too!

Or is it just me? 🍪

This collection by @h.marfleet is only available for the month of October so there’s still time to make one of her nostalgic paintings yours.

This pansy painting is inspired by a greenhouse I visited during the summer that was growing these beauties!
