“Today is the best day of my life.” 🥹❤️ — 3rd Grader at Van Nuys ES And THAT is what today was all about. 🎒✏️📚 The Camp NoHo x Creative Minds x LAUSD came together to help 60 kids at Van Nuys ES have an amazing FIRST DAY BACK TO SCHOOL! 🏫❤️ Because of our incredible community, we raised $3,000 to give back to students from Pre-K through 5th grade. Every backpack, school supply and gift was made possible because people chose to come together for something bigger than themselves. A HUGE thank you to every member who donated: ❤️ Ruvi — $2,000 donation & the person who started this entire idea! Kalee M • Lili J • Cesar A • Norma A • Javier V • Bri J • Beatriz B • Charlie & Dora A • Lorraine S • Sara M • Jumana J • Juan F • Michelle Y • Jennifer C • Alba C • Tanya P • Ana A • Kaleigh F • Evelyn P • Elias O • Allison Y • Nina D WE DID THIS TOGETHER! $3,000 RAISED! 🙌 A special thank you to our team, Natalie, Raffa, Anissa, Gracen, who helped shop, organize and prepare everything for our Pre-K through 5th grade students. ❤️ And thank you to our Creative Minds staff, Andrew & Matthew, for stepping outside of your everyday roles and showing up to be part of something bigger. 🙏 And finally… 🎂❤️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUVI! For her birthday, Ruvi didn’t ask for something for herself. She wanted to give back to her community. She came up with this idea, donated $2,000 to help make it happen, and on her birthday got to watch 60 kids have a GREAT FIRST DAY BACK TO SCHOOL. And hearing one 3rd grader say… “Today is the best day of my life.” …made every bit of it worth it. 🥹❤️ This is what COMMUNITY looks like. 60 KIDS. $3,000 RAISED. ONE AMAZING FIRST DAY. 🎒❤️ #lausd #vannuys #BackToSchool #losangeles #CommunityStrong
