My Story……

Lots of the current successes were built in the moments where things were uncertain, always getting my training done to a high standards and using nothing as an excuse to get the necessary work done.

I was never talented but I am very good at not giving up

I’m so grateful of the journey I’ve been on so far and I’m looking forward to so many more lessons in the future.

I’m hungry to improve

I desire to be the best athlete I can be

and I will show that by never giving in and staying in the fight always 🫡

I’m excited to see how far I can get…..

FIRST-CLASS HONOURS IN SPORT REHABILITATION 🎓📈

Theo Morgan — BSc (Hons) Sport Rehabilitation
University of Salford | First-Class Honours 🎓

3 years of university, practical exams, clinical placements and countless hours studying.

But what does this actually mean for YOUR injury? 🤔

As a BASRaT Registered Sport Rehabilitator, Theo is trained in:

✅ Injury Assessment — Assessing and identifying a wide range of sporting and musculoskeletal injuries.

🧠 Clinical Reasoning — Understanding your symptoms, recognising red flags and referring onwards when needed.

💪 Rehabilitation & S&C — Building individual programmes to restore strength, movement and confidence.

🏃 Return to Sport — Helping you progress from injury back to training, competing and everyday activities.

SO WHY DOES THE QUALIFICATION MATTER? 🎓

There’s a big difference between completing a short sports massage course and a 3-year clinical degree.

Sports massage absolutely has its place, but Sport Rehabilitation goes much further than hands-on treatment.

It’s about understanding WHY you’re in pain, WHAT needs improving and HOW we’re going to get you back to full fitness.

A First-Class degree doesn’t automatically make someone a great clinician, but it reflects years of hard work, education and dedication to the profession.

And the learning doesn’t stop after graduation! 📈

YOUR INJURY DESERVES MORE THAN TEMPORARY PAIN RELIEF. 🔥

Just the beginning…….

20 years old and been competing for less than 2 years with 3 worlds invitations🌏. This sport has took me all over and I’m getting hungrier everyday to see where I can take this sport. My first race was open doubles in Birmingham 25/10/2024 where the time was 1:05:35, last weekend I ran a pro doubles of 54:37 with @ben.hopkinsfit and currently have a pro solo PB of 1:05:35. There’s work to be done. This year I need to find another gear🥷

WHAT MAKES FORGE DIFFERENT? 🔥📈

At Forge Injury & Performance, we’re proud of the team we’ve built and the standards we set ourselves.

From our university education and professional registrations to our clinical experience, facilities and patient reviews.

We work hard to make sure everyone who comes through our doors receives the best care we can provide.

Here’s 5 reasons why you should consider Forge for your injury rehabilitation 👇

FIRST-CLASS EDUCATION 🎓📚

Proud to have a team of three First-Class Honours graduates here at Forge Injury & Performance! 📈

🎓 Theo & Josh — Both graduated from the University of Salford with First-Class Honours degrees in Sport Rehabilitation.

That’s 3 years of university, practical exams, clinical placements and plenty of late nights studying injury assessment, rehabilitation, anatomy and strength & conditioning.

🎓 Becky — Graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a First-Class Honours degree in Physiotherapy, bringing additional clinical expertise, experience and a valuable skill set to the Forge team.

With experience across clinical and hospital settings, Becky brings valuable knowledge in managing complex conditions, patients with multiple health conditions and post-operative rehabilitation.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR OUR PATIENTS? 🤔

✅ University-trained clinicians with strong clinical foundations.

✅ Experience across professional sport, hospitals and clinical environments.

✅ Evidence-based injury assessment, treatment and rehabilitation.

✅ A team committed to continually improving patient care.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved academically, but even more excited about continuing to develop our knowledge, gain experience and become better clinicians.

The degree is just the beginning. The learning never stops! 📈🔥

Goal: Back on the Rugby Pitch 🏉📈

Great having @oli__morgan6 , hooker for @vikingsrl down at Forge following a nasty lateral ankle sprain sustained in the final game of the season! 🏉

Despite initially managing the injury himself, Oli was still experiencing swelling, reduced ankle mobility and difficulty with sprinting and acceleration.

On Assessment 🔍

Following a thorough injury assessment and objective testing, our findings were consistent with a significant lateral ankle sprain involving the ATFL and CFL ligaments.

We identified several key issues:

❌ Persistent lateral ankle swelling
❌ Restricted ankle mobility, particularly inversion
❌ Reduced ankle inversion strength (16% deficit)
❌ Increased ligamentous laxity on anterior drawer testing
❌ Reduced single-leg stability and confidence

With this being Oli’s third sprain to the same ankle, restoring strength, stability and reducing the risk of reinjury are major priorities.

The Rehab Plan 📈

We’ve started hands-on treatment and progressive rehabilitation focusing on restoring mobility, improving ankle strength and rebuilding dynamic stability.

With preseason approaching, the aim is to get Oli back sprinting, changing direction and performing confidently on the rugby pitch! 💪

Looking forward to reassessing his progress at his next session!

HIP PAIN STOPPING YOU FROM ENJOYING YOUR SPORT? 🏃‍♂️🔥

Whether you’re running, lifting weights, playing football or taking part in HYROX, hip pain can seriously affect your performance.

At @forgeinjuryperformance, we carry out comprehensive injury assessments to identify what’s contributing to your hip pain and build a clear plan to get you moving again. 📈

Common causes of sporting hip pain include:

🔸 Hip flexor strains and tendon overload
🔸 Gluteal tendinopathy (hip abductor tendons)
🔸 Training load and strength-related issues
🔸 Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)
🔸 Hip labral injuries

Running-related hip pain can sometimes be linked to increased training loads and reduced tissue capacity, but not every case is simply an overuse injury.

Our assessment looks at your injury history, hip mobility, strength, training demands and clinical signs to help identify the likely cause and screen for more serious conditions that may require further investigation.

Our goal? Not just to reduce your pain, but to rebuild your strength, confidence and capacity to return to the sport you love. 💪

📩 Struggling with hip pain? Comment “HIP” below or drop us a message and we’ll help you take the next step.
