Nothing says fall like finding the perfect pumpkin. Check out @dillfamilyfarms (Windsor) and @riverbreezefarm (Upper Onslow).

Fall weekends fill up fast in Nova Scotia! Mark your calendar for the @celticcolours (Oct. 9-17), the Pumpkin Regattas in Shelburne (Oct. 10) and Windsor (Oct. 11), the Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival (until Oct. 12), @devour_fest The Food Film Fest (Oct. 19-25), the @cabottrailfoodtruckrally (Oct. 24-25), and Kentville Pumpkin People (Oct. 3-25).

🥾 4. Hike to See the Fall Colours
Nova Scotia really shows off this time of year. Take in the views during Ski Wentworth's Fall Colours event, explore the trails of @capebretonhighlands.parkofns, or hit favourite trails like Cape Split, Musquodoboit Trailways, and Cape Chignecto Provincial Park.

Harvest season is market season! Visit the Halifax Seaport Farmers' Market or discover one of the many markets across the province at @marketfreshns FarmersMarketsNovaScotia.ca.

🍷 6. Visit a Vineyard

🏡 7. Book a Cozy Getaway
Whether it's a lakeside cottage, a luxury resort, a yurt in the woods, or a dome under the stars, fall is the perfect excuse to unplug and get cozy. You'll find your perfect getaway on novascotia.com, where you can select regions and filter for amenities like water views and outdoor hot tubs.

👻 8. Take a Ghost Walk
Dig into Nova Scotia's spooky side with @valley_ghost_walks , the Halifax Citadel Ghost Tour, or ghost walks with @lunenburgtours and Haunted Antigonish Tours.

How many of these do you plan to do?

Few more from next day ❤️

Coming from Ontario, I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d love the East Coast landscape. The ocean, the colorful buildings, the rocky coastline… suddenly Ontario started feeling a little too landlocked 😂

We explored Halifax Waterfront, made our way up to the Citadel, wandered around downtown, and of course had to stop for some fresh oysters🦪

A little city exploring, a lot of ocean views, and way too many moments of “okay, this is actually SO pretty.”

Halifax, you are pretty 🌊

In Montreal, of course, we have Mount Royal, but it’s boring. In Halifax, they have the Citadel, and it has a real atmosphere. Just seeing people in traditional attire completely immerses you in Nova Scotian culture.

From @halifaxcitadel —
Your weekend plans just got a little more historic. ✨ This Saturday, we’re opening Parade Square Patio, a new outdoor patio and bar right in the heart of the Halifax Citadel.

Pull up a seat on the parade ground and enjoy a lobster roll, smash burger or poutine from our Citadel café menu, alongside local beer, wine and coffee, all with the historic North Magazine as your backdrop.

Parade Square Patio opens this Saturday (September 12) and will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 11-4pm until the end of the season. See you on the Square! ☀️

Overlooking downtown Halifax, at the top of the hill, sits the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site and the famous clock tower.

An important part of Halifax's military history since 1869, the fort offers unmatched views of the Halifax Harbour. Step inside during the day to learn more about Halifax's military history or plan a ghost tour to explore by candlelight at night!

When was the last time you took a visit to @halifaxcitadel?
