I ara que ja us he donat totes aquestes pistes? Us imagineu de què va? ✨✨✨🫀

👉 Swipe for the visual inspo behind the cover 👉

👁️👁️ I had a vision for this album cover — a Where’s Waldo-ish photo of me in the middle of a sweaty, wild, joyous dance floor. Think Studio 54 but cozy. I wanted to somehow capture the inherent unity of the dance floor while still acknowledging each person in their own right.

So much of this record is about remembering our interconnectedness. One giant quilt with so many squares. All of us expressions of the Big Bang, echoing outward, loving each other if we so choose. That’s a deep well of joy for me.

🕺 I couldn’t afford to hire 30 extras — that felt insincere anyway — so I decided to turn the photoshoot into an event. I posted flyers around town that read FUN PEOPLE NEEDED FOR ALBUM COVER DANCE PARTY. DRESS CUTE AND FUN.

🪩 That night, ~75 people showed up. I DJed for a while, then played the record through as @romainmaya took these photos, then we had a full-on dance party. (This was all after a 7-hour video shoot that morning at the same location. Long day!) The night was so sweet and special. We came away with many great photos, and some new friends as well.

👨🏻‍💻 I then spent a long time — over a month — pulling from my favorite photos and stitching them together to create the image I had in my head. I made the typeface myself with Saul Bass in mind (I’m always thinkin bout Saul Bass).

❤️ I don’t know most of the people in this photo but I love the energy each of them brought and am so grateful they were willing to be a part of this shoot. (Please tag people who made the final shot, idk their names!)

Thanks @romainmaya for taking the photos, and to @thehoffnerpub for renting us the space and helping with lighting.

A lot of people are saying that the babies are [checks notes] out 👶💨

This photo shoot was so much fun!! Big thanks to @romainmaya for photographing, and thanks to the good people of Cincinnati for showing up to dance dressed to IMPRESS. I didn’t know most of the people there, so tag anyone you know who made the shot! Shout out to @thehoffnerpub for having an amazing ballroom upstairs and giving people discounted drinks when we ran out.

This cover was shot on the same day as the GSGT music video, and in the same location (Hoffner Lodge). It was a huge long day to say the least.

The final product is at least 12 different photos I collaged together in Photoshop. It took SO long but I’m so happy with how it came out.
