Last weekend, we had the pleasure of creating a multi sensory cultural experience for our community. From screening three beautiful movies from the directors, @jaedirects @smilez94, and @hamouniran to having a lovely discussion with the award winning Yazidi activist, journalist and filmmaker @duzentekkal and eating a wonderful meal prepared by @heidyaplate and listening to the tunes of @whereisnoamz and the international Kurdish DJ, @thedemirworld. Special thank you to @silktiger for overseeing this production and @ucla_filmtv for hosting our inaugural event. @ucla_tft @uclatftdean

This event would not be possible without the support of @californiakurds @socalkurds and all of our wonderful attendees

Our next event with be September 19th. More information will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Thank you @dexterfletcher_photos for your photography and videography. Not all photos in this post are by him. But more videos from the QA will be released soon.

So viele Herzensbegegnungen.
