I’m glad some things didn’t work out, I have a far happier life than I used to have a few years ago. When I was 15 I couldn’t go to school anymore and lost a lot of friends. Then I found my spark in ceramics. Now I’m so much happier chasing the passion. Having exhibitions in galleries and even museums, and travelling all around the globe for artist in residencies. Making new artist friends on the way. My path is different than most artists but I believe it makes it more powerful. This is a far better life than I could ever ask for. So if you have a passion and you have the possibility to chase it, do it.❤️

(The final week recap of China)
I cannot describe in words how amazing this trip and artist in residency has been for me, I’ve seen the Terracotta Army in real life, the forbidden city and climbed the Great Chinese Wall. I’ve been to the city of ceramics Jingdezhen and to Beijing. My residency has been amazing and I couldn’t be thankful enough for the amazing people in YiJi and made some new friends. I’m happier than ever. I walked a lot in the forest and saw animals I didn’t even know existed. Yesterday I got home after a long flight but I’m definitely coming back next year for a longer time and I’m looking forward to it. 😊❤️

Afternoon reminder that you should go wish jewelry mama Hana a happy birthday. I feel so grateful with life and the universe for having u and all of these pics to look at when I miss u, we been slaying since day one and it’s just so ✨wonderful✨ Hana you are so genuine it makes others want to do the same. Amazing talent, ambition and hard work and everyone around you is just like that because u attract it!!!!!

I couldn’t stop laughing looking at these pics, like when we drank out of the little cups Benedict made, when you peed on the street when leaving Georgina’s bar party, when they wrote Garcia as my last name on the lab assistant chart, when we went kayaking, you doing weird poses during my visits to the clay studio, helping install the material witness show, our intimate time together setting up our senior show and my favorite being able to look at you in the studio as a working mami.

What a great two weeks with beautiful people! The workshop at the @andersonranchartscenter was fantastic. It was such an honor to work with many other amazing artists and students.
