Don’t be a Grinch! The holidays will be here before you know it, so let’s make something merry (and handmade) for the season. Our The Holiday Table class series has two 6-week options to choose from: hand building kicks off Tuesday, October 20, and wheel throwing kicks off Wednesday, October 21. You’ll create one-of-a-kind serving pieces in your own style, from butter dishes and snack trays to big bowls and casserole dishes, all ready to shine on your holiday table this year. Looking for a little holiday magic in one night? Join us for Holiday Ornaments & Hot Toddies on Friday, November 13, from 6 to 8 pm. This one-time workshop is all about hand-building your own ceramic ornaments, choosing your glaze colors and sipping hot toddies or hot chocolate while enjoying holiday treats. Whether you’re decking the halls or setting the table, you’ll head into the holidays with handmade pieces to love for years to come. Sign up for your workshop at the link in our bio. #nashville #nashvillepottery #nashvillepotteryclasses #nashvilleholidays #nashvilleholidayevents

🌱MARKET ALERT🌱 I will be popping up with my goods twice in the next two weeks, they will most likely my last markets of the year 💚 First is this Saturday, September 19th 11 AM - 2 PM The Maker’s Market @potluckteahouse 🫖 I’ll be there with a variety of herbal goods from seasonal oxymels, fresh herb tincture blends, body & face sprays and oils of local plants, and freshly dried herbal teas to locally grown SEEDS ❣️ come peruse my creations as well as some other badass makers while sipping on some of the best tea selection in Nashville ! ❣️ In two Sundays on September 27th from 11 AM - 3 PM there’s Tattoos for Brunch & Plant Swap happening at @hiddentat2 🌻 I’ll be popping up with my herbal creations as well as offering mini herbal consults* and outdoor plant advice ! Stop in for a Tatu, snack, and bring a plant to swap while perusing the market 🌻 🌱All of my herbal creations are made from herbs I have grown or harvested locally and hand processed myself with the very rare exception, it’s important to me to work with fresh well cared for plants in their seasons, so I can share the best care with y’all, it’s hard work but always worth it 🌱 ❣️I’ll be bringing as much as possible to both markets, but if there’s something you’re craving or needing support for specifically, leave a comment or message me and I’ll do my best to make it happen❣️ 💚Hope to see you cuties there, I’m still in the process of building out a sustainable way to offer my creations seasonally and in a way that doesn’t burn me out, so markets are the easiest way to get things from me right now until that happens, but know it’s in the works 💚 *disclaimer on herbal consults* I am not a certified clinical herbalist; I have been studying and working with plants and under other certified herbalists for about 8 years, I do not recommend a mini consult for anyone dealing with complicated medical conditions on various medications, this is mostly for anyone looking to introduce herbal support for less intensive conditions and general systemic and emotional support ! That said I will talk to anyone and offer what I can and even try to find gentle things even if you are dealing with a lot ❣️

Each month, The Chloe welcomes an Artist in Residence: someone whose work we admire and want to share. Artists come from every discipline- and each residency is an invitation to experience their work. This month, we’re welcoming Ash Atterberry or maybe you know her as @hand.wings. Sunday, August 30th at 6pm! Join us for an evening celebrating our August Artist in Residence, beginning with a complimentary welcome cocktail and time to mingle. Fellow ceramicist Rebecca Blevins (@blevinsceramics) will moderate a conversation about the Ash's work, process and creative life, followed by an audience Q&A. Artist bio and more information available on our website!

My newest acquisition is ‘Ghost Dog’ by local artist, Ash Atterberry @hand.wings . I’ve admired Ash’s work for some time and have been waiting for the right piece to come along. For me, ‘Ghost Dog’ perfectly captures what makes her ceramics so distinctive. The hand built construction has all the character and individuality that first drew me to her work, while the imagery reflects her unique blend of folk art, storytelling, and Southwestern influences…and of course dogs. #inglewoodcentreforcontemporaryart #ceramics #localartist @juliamartingallery @musiccityreview #eastnashville #nashville

Loved every minute of this conversation, thanks to our good shepherd @humaneyesmedia 🙏🏼 Christina Langone created a perfect through line, with just enough freedom of flow, with thought provoking and relevant questions for all to participate in answering. Just perfect, and my very favorite use of this space. Thank you to all our beautiful JMG residency artists for sharing their experiences, and a special thank you to @myfavoriteplum for a spectacular carrot cake to mark the occasion of our finale. We scarfed every bite!!! 💜🧡🩵❤️💚🤍🩷💙💛❤️‍🔥 I hope everyone had an excellent PRIDE. xoxoJM . . . #jmgresidency #humaneyesmedia #juliamartingallery #arttalk #444

A connective spirit runs through the growing cluster of Nashville artists working with clay. Perhaps that’s the reason clay has attracted some of the city’s most compelling artists. But just as important as that connection is the medium’s playful spirit, its outsider status and the ritual involved in making ceramics. At the link in our bio, meet the ceramicists taking over the local art scene. Story by @laurahutsonhunter. Photos: Eric England @escene Clay studio.
