Handcrafted Tile (@handcraftedtile) is a family story — the kind that’s shaped Arizona homes for more than 60 years. Most people know founder Phil Shelton, the engineer-turned-importer who helped bring handcrafted tile to the Valley in the late ’60s and became known as Arizona’s “King of Mexican Tile.” But this piece shines a light on his daughter, Kim Shelton (@kimicorazon), who grew up traveling with her dad to Mexico, speaks fluent Spanish, and still considers many of the artisans and suppliers family.
