If there’s one pattern you need in your stash, it’s the Monty.

What’s the secret to a good travel capsule 🧳?

Pick a few matching sets (one plain and one print/gingham), a couple of solid colored crop tops or blouses, a pair of pants with an interesting detail like a paperbag waist, a dress that can act as a coverup, and throw in some straw accessories.

I started sewing this travel capsule a few months before my 2-week trip to Bali and I’m so pleased with how well it worked. In this reel, I’m simply replacing one top or bottom with another for each outfit but there are so many more possibilities.

*Side note: I sprained my toe while filming these outfits so please SHARE if you enjoyed this reel. SAVE for future travel wardrobe ideas. My healing toe will appreciate it ☺️.

L I N E N S E T

Is there anything better than a matching linen set? I decided last minute (aka the day before I left for my vacation) to make this teal crop top and maxi skirt combo for my tropical holiday. Surprisingly, this set was an easy and fairly quick sew.

The front tie top is @sarskirsten Morning Glory top which can be worn with ties either to the front or back. For the maxi skirt, I followed @handmadehannah_’s “elastic waistband skirt” tutorial which you can find in her reels and is currently pinned to her grid. I chose to make a longer skirt tier inspired by @_sarahchuck for a more dramatic effect.

I used a midweight linen which was perfect for Bali weather.

The prettiest skirt for the prettiest street🇪🇸💕 I made this skirt for my holiday to visit my grandparents who live in the most beautiful Spanish town on the side of a mountain and have always loved this street😍 thought it would be the perfect place to capture the skirt!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I used the tutorial by @handmadehannah_ to make this skirt which was brilliant and worked out perfectly!
