Site Four Participating Gallery @twinhoundprintshop Invites Artists:✨Sam Mendoza, Ellie Westhoff✨ About Site Four:🛹🛹🛹 Reigniting the Site Series, this is a one-day outdoor exhibition and collaboration between independent, artist-run galleries and alternative venues in Kansas City that will take place at the Harrison Street DIY Skate Park 10/18/2026. Artists are invited to activate the Columbus Park skatepark, while also creating a network between spaces. As an important community-building initiative and creative achievement, this project also aims to celebrate the park before it's impending demolition and serve as a fundraiser in order for the skatepark to be built again. ✨Ellie Westhoff @godhateslobsters ✨ ✨Sam Mendoza @handsamwich ✨

My print “King Townes” for one of the raddest and most beautifully designed printmaking portfolio exchanges I’ve ever seen, “SHOP DOGS,” organized and crafted by @vanessajobahr! The portfolio features 13 prints of 13 printmakers’ dogs. The full portfolio will be exhibited at the Mid America Print Council “Printelligence” conference at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge this October, and will be added to the permanent collections of both the MAPC Archive and LSU Print Archive. My print is of my dog Townes, triumphantly perched on top of his slain pile of stuffed toys. The white highlight layer was screen printed first, with the main key line woodcut printed over it in dark brown ink. All 15 prints were packaged together in a custom portfolio box along with some awesome extras, including: -A screen printed bandana with Townes’ name chain stitched onto it -A print of the SHOP DOGS logo -A beautifully made table of contents matching each artists name with their dog’s name on a hand cut etching plate that Vanessa gave to each respective human! Thanks so much @vanessajobahr for all the time and thought you put into making this thing so awesome, and for including Townes and me in the mix!

What an incredible week @frogmansprintworkshops I can’t begin to express how magical this place is! I got to take an intaglio class and see the mind blowing secrets of shaping plates and working with grounds from @eclairerose who was an absolute delight to learn from. Thank you so much for sharing all your knowledge and all the laughs during class. And thank you @christianhenry17 for assisting the class and pioneering and inspiring the green - pink color combinations that lived in my head! Special thanks as always to @frogmansprintworkshops and @uiowaprint for hosting us, @weszakk for keeping us all on task to work and have a good time, and of course @terryjamesconrad for making this week one to cherish and remember. @kaleenastasiak and I will see you all next year. Longtime listener, first time attendee of @frogmansprintworkshops and what a week it was! Between Open Portfolio, bowling, World Cup games, karaoke, foil printing demonstrations, openings, and print trades we still found time to make some prints! I participated in the Mokuhanga and scroll making class taught by @raluca_iancu and met so many new print pals. Thanks to Jeremy, @terryjamesconrad and @uiowaprint for organizing and hosting and to @dbrinkmanprints for being my print summer camp buddy!
