# 100 ..food ventures from 2025..(part 3)–Cafés☕️🍝 1.📍@cometruecafe , @1utama The award-winning café from Taiwan that i've always loved–both their food & warm hospitality💛 What makes them special is their humble cause of giving back to the community, supporting the clean water projects in Africa. It began with their first outlet in KL (The Starhill), now expanded to PJ (1 Utama), and their newest one at Sunway Pyramid. Each outlet has its own exclusive soufflé flavor, so definitely don't miss the mango one here!😋 Not only the fluffy soufflés, they're also known for their carefully crafted Taiwanese fusions and speciality coffee. Plus point for the generous portions here too! 2.📍@jom.mml , Bandar Sri Damansara A cozy, homey spot where you'll find comforting kopitiam classics, and porky dishes mainly–with their meats sourced from TNR! Very family-friendly, with premium Merry ice cream, and even popcorn on the weekends too. Loved the flavourful stew, and do save room for their housemade moist choc cake! It scores all the brownie points for being a good proper choc cake!!🤩 3.📍@popseatery , TTDI They've quite a number of outlets across klang valley, featuring an extensive menu to choose from. They also have a sister brand @panbypops specializing in baked goods🥖, and you can find those bakes here in the café too. 4.📍Brella Bakehouse They've nice pastries and mains here, but the space is temporarily closed for now. Hoping they'll come back stronger, because if (or when) they do, you have to go for their fish burger🍔 as good ones are hard to find. # 99 ..food ventures from 2025..(part 2)–Sweet Treats🍧🍦🧋 1.📍@fairymilkdessert , SS15 One of the viral bingsu spot—special for their Crème Brûlée Bingsu! You won't regret getting this!💯 We went for the strawberry version: creamy custard, fluffy milk ice and that slightly crackly sugar crust just hit the spot😋 Tho, i wouldn't mind a more generous pour of the strawberry coulis. You'll be expecting a queue, but it moves quite fast since dine-in is capped at 1 hour during peak hrs. 2.📍@tofug.trx , @theexchangetrx A recent hot spot for tofu-based Korean premium gelato from SG; it's located just beside Modu! They've 8 flavours like matcha, sweet corn & more–all priced at RM 18! And you could sample them before deciding! I'm impressed with the two flavours i've tried–vegan high-protein tofu and black sesame! The gelato was smooth, dense but still creamy with that slight stretchy texture which signals a well-made gelato😋 While i wished the soy flavor came through a bit more, i loved how the overall flavours are still rich, with just the right sweetness! It's pricey but you get the quality. Probably more of a once-in-a-while treat for this! 3.📍@flurrecafe by Fluffed, SS3 If you're into more creative bingsu flavours, this spot's worth checking out! We went for some of their Christmas specials during the festive season and they were enjoyable😍 What surprised me were their in-house drinks, esp that black sesame latte which i really loved!🤤 They also served cakes, and even hot foods now too! 4.📍@juancha.my , SS15 With so many tea chains from China entering the scene over the past year, this one is no different–but it stands out. Specializing in spiced milk teas, and fruit teas, it offers a refreshing twist in more traditional options. I found the flavour combinations of their drinks quite special, like you'd find perilla in black tea–which actually works?!🤩 I personally favour their fruit teas over the milk teas more! What i loved most was the space and vibes, with that elegant and earthy wooden aesthetics, plus, a spacious 2nd floor that feels so cozy and relaxing you could easily chill the entire afternoon there. #cafevibes #dessertcafe #desserts Food review on Fairymilk Dessert Cafe's creme brulee bingsu, and JuanCha tea shop's milk teas and fruit teas at SS15, Subang Jaya, Tofu G's Korean premium tofu (plant-based) gelato at TRX mall, Kuala Lumpur, and Flurre Dessert Cafe's bingsu and japanese flavoured drinks at SS3, Petaling Jaya.

# 98 ..food ventures from 2025..(part 1) The eats that never made the feed last year, but made the journey✨️ 1.📍@guon_koreanbbq , Sri Petaling One of the best kbbq spot in KL✨️ Quite unique banchan and sauces they've here. They offered bbq sets which are worth getting!–for a smaller (2-3pax), and also larger group (4-5pax). The pork feast set🥓 we had included kimchi pork bone soup, volcano steamed egg and cream cheese hotteok (i liked this alot😋). Other sides can be optional, but their Seafood Pancake🥞is mandatory to get!! 2.📍@dondonkoreanbbqofficial , Uptown Damansara Quite a popular kbbq spot too, with another outlet at Sri Hartamas. We didn't try this, but they're known for their grilled pork intestines. I personally liked their marinated meats more. They've quite a good amount of small plates, noods and rice options too other than banchan. Note: only the veggie-based banchan are unlimited refill. 3.📍@taiermalaysia @theexchangetrx First tried this during a trip to China and was glad to try it again back home for their Suan Cai Fish and other dishes that were equally delicious!😋 Tho there wasn't much difference, the suan cai fish here somehow felt a tad less flavourful compared to China's. 4.📍100 years nasi lemak, Bukit Bintang The same spot with the beautiful, rooftop Merdeka 118 (esp night) view, but they've transitioned to a new brand called Uncle Sam Kopi–now with a new look, and more local varieties to their menu. # 96 New cafe with a "DESSERT TREE" in Cheras?!🍰🌲🧡✨️ 📍@apricotbypeachesandcream , [No pork & alcohol], MyTOWN KL From their iconic dessert trolley, now to a stunning dessert tree, this European-inspired cafe takes the sweet experience to a whole new vibe!🌟 Warm peach-orange interiors bathed in natural lights perfectly matches the cafe's name, and brings bright, inviting vibes too🧡 They've a kids' play area which families will love, and also an al fresco space to enjoy the outdoor vibes!🪴 We had: 🥗Falafel Greek Salad 🌟 (RM 35) Not a common salad choice to get–came esp with chickpea fritters, feta cheese & olives! 🐟Fish & Chips 🌟 (RM 35) This caught us by surprise, it was surprisingly good!😍 Their tartare sauce was what i personally loved, and the side of the naturally sweet mushy peas too!😋 🍄‍🟫Mushroom & Black Truffle Pizza 🌟 (RM 19-mini size) 🍕Lamb Kofte & Spinach Pizza (RM 37) They've mini-sized pizzas for specific flavors. Both flavours were great actually, esp the mushroom one🤤 Though, the lamb kofte could be a tad strong on the spices for some. What i loved most was their airy and nicely baked dough with that lightly crisp crust💛 Their pizza selection was quite good, with a few dessert pizzas too! 🍝Carbonara Beef Bacon Linguine (RM 38) Classic carbonara flavours done just right! Extra tasty with the bacons😋 🥞Buttermilk Pancakes 🌟 (RM 28) Denser type of pancakes that's pleasantly chewy as well. This was loaded with sweet and berry goodness–the pancakes were also blueberries-studded!😍 Though, you'll be surprised that this whole thing isn't that sweet at all! *You can add on beef bacon and vanilla🍦too* 🍑Peaches & Cream Cheesecake (RM 24) •vanilla cheesecake with ginger biscuit base 🍌Hummingbird Cake (RM 19) •a unique combination of banana and pineapple cake, with coconut, sunflower & pumpkin seeds The highlight to the cakes will be the cold custard, poured fresh on the spot if you like–but i'd recommend it bc this light yet creamy, and not-too-sweet custard complemented the cakes so well!😍 🫐Berry Lassi 🌟 (RM 18) •mix berries w yogurt 🍵Matcha Frappe (RM 19) •ice blended w apricot jam 🍎Apple Cucumber Mint Juice (RM 16) Food review on Apricot by Peaches and Cream cafe's European, Western food like truffle and lamb pizzas, carbonara pasta, fish & chips, greek salad, buttermilk pancakes, cakes, cheesecake and drinks like berry lassi, matcha frapoe and juices at MyTOWN shopping centre, Kuala Lumpur.

📍 @flurrecafe Flurrē has released its special Christmas menu items and you can get all these by 4 January 2026! Ordered: Rudolph 🍧⭐ (RM26) *Christmas special 🎄 Dark chocolate snow decorated with thin crispy wafers as horns, and red dango & chocolate pieces topped as face components. The chocolate brownie and crispy feuilletine bites surrounded the bowl gave a decadent chew 🍫 The inner part contained brown sugar konjac jellies and chocolate mousse. Everything in this bingsu wasn't cloying at all, hence it's quite enjoyable as a whole! Oolong Peach Cake 🍰 (RM18) While the presentation was pretty, the sponge tasted quite dry and lacked flavour. The sliced pink peaches were the saving grace, which helped to enhance a bit of taste. Black Sesame Dango Cloud 🍡⭐ (RM16) Black sesame latte topped with milk foam and dango. It's not common to find black sesame latte in local cafes, so this was an exceptionally nice drink - creamy and roasty! 🫶 Strawberry Oat Matcha 🍵 (RM16) *Christmas special 🎄 Due to the use of oatmilk, the matcha felt really rich! The strawberry puree perfectly balanced its richness, making it more palatable! 🍓 Iced Okinawa Latte 🥥 (RM15) A unique combination of kuromitsu syrup & coconut coffee. This newly opened European inspired cafe in Cheras offers stunning brunch fare and is famous for their cakes with custard! Not to mention, the cafe also offers gluten free and vegan options in certain menu items. 🌱 The space is decorated in soft peach and pink hues, as well as apricot paintings to highlight the dreamy atmosphere. Ordered: Falafel Greek Salad 🧆⭐ (RM35) A unique, crisp, and flavourful salad that's not commonly found in eateries. Served with a side of balsamic vinegar, but it's also tasty on its own! 👍 Mushroom & Black Truffle Pizza 🍄‍🟫⭐ (Mini Size - RM19) It gave a distinctive profile from the mushrooms, making this a go-to pizza for mushroom fans. The pizza itself was airy and toasty too! Lamb Kofte & Spinach Pizza 🐐⭐ (RM37) White pizza with fior di latte (fresh cow's milk mozzarella), olives, and garlic chips. The spices from the lamb kofte really lifted the flavours, while the spinach and olives provided an extra satisfying balance. Fish & Chips 🐟⭐ (RM35) Hands down the best dish! Fish was beautifully fried; there's no fishiness involved. Together with the mushy peas and seasoned fries, they complemented each other perfectly 😋 Carbonara Beef Bacon Linguine 🍝 (RM38) It has a rich taste from the egg yolk cream sauce and crispy beef bacon slices; however, texture was leaning slightly on the dry side. Pasta was firm hence it's still enjoyable! Buttermilk Pancakes 🥞⭐ (RM28) 3 stacks of blueberry studded pancakes accompanied by caramelised bananas, strawberries, pecans, homemade strawberry jam, and honey. "Where Fire meets Flavor", your new go-to Japanese spot in PJ🔥🍣🍜 📍@tekkai_malaysia [No pork & alcohol], Uptown Damansara Looks like a retro diner, right?🍔 But surprise! It's serving Japanese comfort food instead! From a wide selection of teppanyaki, sushi, ramen and even coffee, there's something for every craving! Recommended dishes to get: 🥩Teppanyaki Beef Steak (RM 34.90 + RM 3.90) •the beef could be less tougher, nevertheless, worth upgrading the set to their garlic fried rice😋 🍣Salmon Mentai (RM 13.90) | Crispy Tiger Prawn (RM 10.90) | Unagi Cheese (RM 17.90) •the sushi rolls were generally a good option to go for! Gotta appreciate that they offered smaller portions (4pcs) for these too besides than the full 8pcs, it's perfect if you're not too hungry. 🍜Beef Slice Spicy Miso Ramen🌟 (RM 26.90) •a good bowl of light yet flavourful ramen!👍 Really loved that the noodles stayed al dente even after sitting in the broth for some time. 🌮Salmon Avocado Taco (RM 26.90) •their sushi taco series is a good try! Though it seems quite pricey, it's actually pretty filling.
