She gave me life.
She danced with me.
She cried with me.
She laughed with me.
She held my hand when I couldn’t stand on my own.
She taught me how to be.
She showed me the way.
She told me the truth.
She believed in me before I knew how to believe in myself.

I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without the women who have loved me, carried me, challenged me, protected me, and walked beside me.

When I look at these faces, my heart is so full.

What an honor it is to be a woman. What a gift it is to be loved by women. What a privilege it is to love them back.

Forever grateful for the feminine love that has shaped me, held me, and continues to live within me. 🤍

Catching up on posts here, and thought I’d start by recapping some of the incredible week I had at NEO Festival with @resonancecollectivela! It was so refreshing to expand on my community of singers and musicians breaking the bounds of how we learn, teach, vocalize, and think about music. Looking forward to future collaborations and revisiting these amazing compositions. Especially grateful to @dr.davidharrismusic @laurelirene and @fahad.siadat for their leadership, presence, openness, and dedication.
