Two months after my first paid gig, I’ve had time to reflect and wanted to share some advice for anyone trying to make something real out of a dream.

1. Reframe every challenge.
It’s easy to let hard moments get to you. But holding onto them only weighs you down. Ask what a setback is teaching you instead of letting it stop you. Learn from it.

2. Find your people.
This journey is long and not meant to be done alone. Find people who genuinely believe in what you’re building and show up for them too. Friends, family, mentors— even one person who gets it. Who you surround yourself with shapes who you become.

3. Know that you can do it.
Imposter syndrome hits most of us. But if you have the dream, something in you already knows you’re capable. Stop waiting to feel ready. You figure it out by doing it, not by waiting until it feels safe.

4. Get on social media and use it.
If you’re not putting yourself out there online, you’re limiting yourself massively. It opens doors and opportunities you’d never reach otherwise. It doesn’t need to be perfect, just real and consistent.

5. Work, and work harder.
No shortcut. No hack. Show up when you’re exhausted, when you’re doubting everything, when nothing feels like it’s sticking. The people who make it aren’t always the most talented, they’re the ones who refused to quit.
