Borneo 7s ’25 ⭐️

First tour of the year as compared to last year where I’ve already done 3 tours by end of Q1 🤡 Changing my routine & rhythm a lil to focus on work and fitness events in Q1 did make me appreciate this sport again!

Regardless of the results, I had so much fun on and off the field. Thank you for making the experience such a great one, truly blessed to be able to befriend the lovely 🇵🇭 ladies, fellow tourney mates and to take the field w my SG loves 💕 My heart is full 🥰

🔹 Warm-Up:
Start with bag hits to get the blood pumping and activate those muscles.
🔹 Positioning:
Work on tackle form using the tower tackle bag — chest up, eyes through, and drive!
🔹 Body Contact:
Transition to live tackles, practicing clean, controlled hits.
🔹 Game Simulation:
Footwork, tackle, roll, and get behind. Hit the attacker, then clear over like it’s game day!

A glimpse of our early morning session with Happy Denuyo, a pioneer of grassroots women’s rugby. Originally from Cagayan de Oro, she’s now back in CDO, preparing for her upcoming tournaments.

Focusing on developing upper body power, core stability, and tackling mechanics with this drill.

Warm Up Drills:
Push up - Strengthens the upper body, especially the chest, shoulders, and triceps.

Speed & Agility - Get up as fast as possible, simulating a game situation where you need to recover quickly.

Hit & Drive - Power & Technique.
Explode into the tackle pad with proper body positioning, leading with the shoulder and engaging the legs to drive through.

At 24 years old, I’m honored to be the 2nd Filipino🇵🇭 to achieve this certification, marking a new milestone in my journey. My fitness journey started at 16 years old with running, building discipline and endurance. Calisthenics was a game changer during the pandemic, reshaping my approach to movement and strength. I discovered it in my early 20s, and it completely transformed my understanding of fitness.💪

As I began my coaching career, I noticed many in my city weren’t aware of their true fitness potential. This inspired me to stay consistent and patient, educating others on bodyweight mastery through a minimalist and effective training approach. As a recreational athlete, I embraced a hybrid training style, combining Calisthenics for strength and Running for endurance—a sustainable approach to performance, aesthetics, and longevity.💯

Calisthenics has taught me discipline, delayed gratification, and self-mastery. Today, I’m proud to announce that I am officially certified by the World Street Workout & Calisthenics Federation @wswcf_academy as a Street Workout and Calisthenics Personal Trainer!

Thank you to WSWCF Academy, developed by the leading specialists of the World Street Workout & Calisthenics Federation, based on years of experience in street workout, calisthenics sport, and movement.
