Yesterday we said goodbye to our beloved Brownie, our sunshine, our heart, our delight who gave us joy every single day of the 7 years he spent with us. He was the hero of the pandemic who kept us all sane and centered, the protector of anyone napping or venturing outdoors. The supreme herder, the midnight waker, the squirrel hunter who could never quite catch one. He came to us from the streets of Jeju Island, a rescue puppy who was fostered at a series of cafes in Korea. He loved all people except for the mean ones and loved his family most of all. Thank you @hara.sf for bringing him into our lives. We are all devastated but know that grief is a form of love and that we are all better for having sweet sweet Brown in our lives. He’s the most beautiful creature we have ever known. Rest in peace.

Swipe to meet Wally, Theo’s bestie! 🐾 We found Wally 7 years ago through @hara.sf where he was fostered and loved by @tiffany_doglover (Thank you, always 🫂🥹)
Now a gentle senior, Wally adores his miniature brother, and Theo can’t get enough of him. Contrary to a few of these playful pics, Wally is the calm and composed one of the duo, always balancing out Theo’s boundless energy. They’re the sweetest pair!🐾✨

Advocates of any kind[ but especially animal advocates] are so extreme. Its my way is the best way. Never euthanize. If you save pets why do you eat meat? If you are rescuing how could you follow through with whelping/queening. You must spay abort. You're doing it wrong. You should do it this way. So much shit talking and drama. Another thing to pile ontop of the reasons why rescues close. Too much drama. From deep debt from medical bills, to no fosters available to help, to people begging you daily to pull this or that pet, to angry applicants that don't get approved, to people who demand your time when you are spread way too thin, to the public appearances, it all takes a toll. If it were just about saving the animals it would be so easy. Please realize pulling a pet from a bad situation and just finding it a home is not all that needs to be done. Fixing the pet, getting the pet vetted, making sure the adopter is equipped to handle situations should behavioral issues come up. It's not all rainbows and sunshine but these faces make it worth it. This unconditional love from the pets that you helped. The heartfelt letters of how much the family loves their new pet makes it worth while. The unadoptable pets that get a 2nd chance at life in their amazing new homes keep me going. We can't continue to do this without your continued support. The [sincere] comments, the shares to spread our cause, the donations to help dig us out of the hole, the volunteers who come and take these pups for an outing to see the world, the transporters who drive hours and never ask for a dime, and of course the fosters who unselfishly open up their homes to any animals whether they are ugly, learning to potty train, a bit scared, not the ideal foster. We definitely could not continue our work without you. Thank you for those who have been here and those who have just arrived. We hope you will stay. 🥰

Happy 4th Birthday to Penny! Penny spend the first 2 years of her life as a street dog in Taiwan. She was rescued by @hara.sf and home with me shortly after. She really is the best. After almost two years home, she is still learning how to be a dog. Dogs are just the best. ♥️

Fetch has been the hardest thing to teach Hami and this achievement was a year in the making. I’m so happy for her to finally start playing!

Boogie got to practice flyball today. This is the sport I am not consistent in… at all. This is our second practice in over a year? Maybe longer? And our last practice was months ago.

Boogie’s had a handful of practices but comes out like he’s done this his whole life each time. He conquered the new box in .5 secs and thinks this is the best game. A few quirks, but nothing not easily fixed.

All the dogs I brought to practice did super well today. Always proud of their willingness to do much of anything for me. ❤️

Unfortunately for me, I think I have to get back in the lanes at some point. 😭😂

Penny update- shes doing so good! She loves the new house, being tucked in blankets, cuddling and is playing more. Shes dogging more instead of catting. Shes also the face of Formosan Mountain Dogs if you google them. Living her best life!
