POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

When you have a lot to do with France, you sometimes have to go to Paris (and sometimes you just want to ;-)). When Samuel Hasselhorn and Ammiel Bushakevitz performed “Winterreise” at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées last Friday, the city was peaceful, the evening was a celebration, and there was no sign yet of the riots that would break out the following day. It’s hard to imagine a greater contrast than that between the introspective song cycle in the theater’s dignified atmosphere and the images of the chaotic day that followed. We hope for more peaceful journeys, no matter the season.

“The twenty-four stages of the journey become a tragic adventure, the alchemy of which we cannot fathom. But that doesn’t matter: it is the journey that fathoms us.”

FOR YOUR GRAMMY®️ CONSIDERATION 🌟
📀 Our album ‘Johannes-Passion’ has been submitted for consideration for Best Choral Performance in the upcoming GRAMMY®️ Awards. This work by Johann Sebastian Bach tells a story of betrayal, judgment, fake news, forgiveness, reconciliation, and promises. Every time we sing this final chorus, this music brings us back to the present and makes us see our own time in a very different light.
🙏 For voting members of the @recordingacademy, we are so grateful for your consideration!
