Not the “One Last Job” I envisioned or prepared for. I obviously don’t take these opportunities or decisions lightly — feeling genuinely devastated. 😭💔

Wheels came off in scary fashion and I genuinely couldn’t continue safely. I’ll share more when it feels right. Good luck to all the brave people still out there.

Personal Update: New Mexico Bo engaged in an epic battle against Unc Status for six weeks, base-camping in Taos in preparation for the Hardrock 100.

The result: Significant improvements in fitness and a renewed awareness that trail running is tight.

After a couple splendid days in the San Juans, I’m now back in Marin before heading to the center of the trail running universe — Palisades Tahoe — later this week.

Excited to see many of you there. Best sport ever. ❤️

THE CHUCKWAGON BEER MILE RETURNS 🍻🤠

Year three. Now a Chuckwagon tradition.

Join us Thursday, June 25th at the Coffee Outpost in Olympic Valley for the wildest four-lap showdown this side of the Sierra. Four beers. Four laps. One legendary start to race weekend.

This ain’t your average track meet. It’s a full-blown cowboy carnival of speed, foam, stomach management, and controlled chaos. Some folks come to win. Some come to test their limits. Most come to see who can hold it together through the final lap.

Whether you’re a seasoned beer-mile veteran or a first-time ripper looking to earn your place in Chuckwagon history, grab your boots, your buddies, and your strongest constitution. Beer will be provided, and every participant will score a custom DMRC hat worthy of the rodeo.

A few things to know:

* Trailgating Live kicks off at 3PM.
* The Chuckwagon rolls out around 5PM.
* Raise the Bar film screening follows the festivities.

Come thirsty. Leave legendary.

Year 5 of the Freetrail x Daybreak Gorge Waterfalls tradition. The biggest and best edition yet.

It’s a massive team effort to put this event together and I wanted to share a few bits of gratitude before falling on my face.

First, to the runners! Thank you for entrusting us with your athletic dreams. It’s a responsibility we take seriously and we hope you went home feeling tired, fulfilled, and proud!

To the volunteers. Thanks for selflessly devoting your time and energy to help other people do amazing things. You are the backbone of Trail Culture.

To @daybreakracing. You guys are the best. We’re honored to work alongside your team of true professionals, co-creating what the event has become. A true 2+2=5 situation.

To our @runfreetrail team. I love you guys and am deeply proud to be in the trenches with you everyday.

To @acg. Thanks for helping to take Gorge to a new level while staying true to its roots. Centering the experience of every runner with care, creativity, and authenticity, while also helping us to dream bigger. Wow. Thank you are the only words I can find.

Black skin looks good on trail.

On Saturday, March 21st, I ran the Big Alta 100K (almost 13,000 ft of elevation gain) and finished in 13:15:41.

This is a happy post. A post meant to celebrate the effort and inspire folks who think trail running isn’t for us.

Grateful to @salomonrunning and @dylanbo + @harmonyalyssa of @runfreetrail for seeing the work, and more importantly, the value of my voice and presence in this space.
