First shoot for Anaconda and it did not disappoint.
Cliff faces. Beaches. Backyards. Three locations, one shoot, all Sunny Coast. What a shoot, what a crew!

"Photography has always given me an excuse to go further and see more.

We spent a few weeks travelling through the Spanish and French Pyrenees, hiking between valleys, staying in mountain refuges and carrying everything we needed on our backs. I had the Helios with me along the way, carrying my camera gear through long days in the mountains.

But for me, trips like this have never just been about coming home with the big memorable photographs. It’s the changing weather, the small details, the unexpected light and everything that happens between photographs that makes being out there so memorable.

I never really know what I’m going to come across, and to me, that’s what keeps me exploring." — @harrisoncandlin

Our first mountain home among the Spanish Pyrenees, Refugi d’Amitges at an altitude of 2365m. After a day of climbing with over 1000m gain, arriving here to a 3 course dinner, warm bed, hot shower and drinks on tap was ridiculous. Here are some images from nearby wandering on the first afternoon.

One of those shoots where absolutely everything was against us.

A wrong turn lead to us becoming spectacularly bogged and stuck on a slick mud track… which led to a 7 hour recovery that definitely wasn’t on the schedule. We missed our flights. Slept 2 hours. Somewhere in the middle of it all my heart decided to remind me it wasn’t finished with me. I was even admitted to hospital 12 hours later.

But that’s adventure. There were moments where we genuinely wondered if we’d come home with anything worth sharing. Turns out those are often the shoots you remember most.

Looking back now, I’m so glad we stuck it out. Here are a few frames from two unforgettable days in the Vic High Country shooting the @tracktrailers Tvan with Max from @adventureentertainment

Sometimes the most memorable stories are the ones you never planned for.

At the start of the year we had the opportunity to bring @theoztentgroup’s Discover More campaign to life. The campaign was all about slowing down, escaping the speed of everyday life and discovering more of the outdoors at an intentional pace. Something we all need a bit more of!

It’s always a pleasure to create work that inspires people to get away for a night outdoors.
