So honored to be showing work at La Nueva Fábrica in Guatemala in an exhibition titled: Un lugar para existir. The show features a group of artists I deeply admire and have inspired me for some time and am excited to learn more about them and their work! “Un lugar para existir brings together Central American artists whose personal and family histories have been marked by migration to the United States, with effects that extend across generations.” My video work covers my family’s history and experience with immigration, deportation, assimilation and all outcomes that have led to now and will affects our futures. It fills me with so much joy to be able to share this work in Guatemala and I am glad to have been able to revisit the videos I made for my graduate thesis for this specific exhibition. Shoutout to everyone who put the exhibition together including: Marilyn Boror Bor, Lily Cox-Richards, Jimena Pons Ganddini, Ana Lucía Montufar, Ilaria Conti and José Oquendo. Miles de gracias por el apoyo, ayuda y paciencia 💗 Shoutout to my fellow artists in the show: Jackie Amézquita, Häsler Gómez, Eddy A. López, Lorena Molina, Paulina Velázquez, y Martine Wannam 💕 The show will opening this coming weekend on October 10 with a reception from 11:00am-4:00pm. The dates for the show are October 10, 2026 - February 14, 2027. If you are in Guate or get a chance to go, please check it out at La Nueva Fábrica 💗💗💗 Ahí nos vemos 💕
