WHO DOESN’T LOVE A DODGY PIC OF ME (on left) ON A RAINY TUESDAY, FEATURED HERE WITH DJ AND PRODUCER @maxxisoundsystem @maxxisoundsystem OUR HEADLINER for @therapybrighton ‘s winter party is Brighton’s own Maxxi Soundsystem, aka Sam Watts, tracking all the way from Brizzle to return for a show. Long before going global, he was a fixture of the local scene, co-running the much-loved Schtumm! parties that brought acts like Radio Slave, Tensnake and the Idjut Boys to the city, often for their first Brighton shows.
His breakthrough came with “Criticize,” a club hit championed on BBC Radio 1 and named in Beats in Space’s best of 2010. Since then he’s released on labels including Nervous, Futureboogie, Hypercolour, Culprit and Maceo Plex’s Ellum, while his lush, synth-driven take on disco and house has taken him from Glastonbury and Ibiza to tours spanning Toronto to São Paulo, and Burning Man.
Maxxi has played two sellout @quarters.brighton shows this year with @crazypmusic and @2manydjs.
Maxxi brings a set packed with his own edits and remixes, so expect big grooves, soaring synths and a dancefloor that won’t want to leave. I am honoured that he is set to support our party on 5th December @waterbearvenue alongside @brunonumerouno1 @affygobang @hat.e__ tickets on Skiddle - in our bio or search THERAPY WINTER PARTY big up big up #housemusic #housemusicallnightlong #brighton

Afters makes their return to the basement at Patterns for a night dedicated to the weirder, wobblier side of house in collaboration with the @rainures community. Deep, old school, minimal flavours all night from a serious bag of local talent and a very special guest: Wilba.

Our first ever headline name, Wilba brings a distinctly modern edge to the 2000s tech house sound, earning a reputation as one of the scene’s most exciting producers and selectors.

The mind behind @fraiserecords , he keeps pushing the boundaries of a timeless sound with sleazy, leftfield grooves and acid-infused basslines.

Join us at @patternsbtn on 13th November for his Brighton debut, with support from top local selectors:

HAPPY MONDAY! I Hope it has been….Introducing you to my numero uno; when I first decided to move my party from a pub to a club and do a ‘thang’ I asked my good friend Bruno if he would want to be involved. I was delighted he wanted in. Introducing @therapybrighton resident; @brunonumerouno1 cut his teeth on South Africa’s club scene, first spinning in 1994 at private parties because he was too young for the clubs. He soon held residencies across Johannesburg and launched the city’s first regular Friday night deep house venue.
In 1999 he moved to the UK to test himself against the best, quickly landing residencies at respected Brighton venues and a spot behind the counter at Covert Records, the south coast’s go-to shop for techno, deep house and electro. He also built a loyal following with The Friday Wake & Bake, his weekly breakfast show on Code South FM.
Since October 2023 he’s hosted the Tuesday Tune Up Show (9am–12pm) on @1btnradio , Brighton’s underground community station, and it’s fast become a listener favourite.
For Bruno, Therapy is all about the people who come for the music: “When like-minded people bring good vibes and the tunes are flowing, it’s a magnificent thing. Smiles, love and happiness all round. BRIGHTONS MOST WANTED 2026.

Everything has become safe and predictable, the tyrants in charge have fallen asleep at the wheel, the people are subletting their minds to AI, gleeful indifference and co-opted group-think.

But some ideas are too strong to resist.

The only way is to disobey, rewire, rearrange, and rebuild until the creative chaos that emerges transforms into its own vitalising force.

Strictly Confidential & Grassroots join forces to deliver a lineup of Brightons most innovative producers & DJs for a multi genre masterclass that will continue to lead into the future.

Some of them will soundtrack your peak hours.
Some of them will turn your head upside down.
All of them will deliver you a moment to remember..

Tickets as always remain free entry before midnight.
Links to purchase tickets can be found in our bio.
