I’d love to hear if you annotate and why.

I choose to annotate bc it helps me connect to the literature- I’m leaving a little piece of me in every book I read. It’s like a relationship where I put my heart and soul in this thought process and go back later months down the road and see if I feel the same way. Jonathan Strange and Mr, Norell was one of my favorite books to annotate and took about three weeks. 🖤 If you’re nervous about writing in your books clear Post-Its are a great way to start🥀

Diese Frage stellen @elya.adair & @monika.augustin.autorin anlässlich des heutigen #leseliebetag ✨

Tatsächlich finde ich diese Frage, aus meiner Sicht relativ leicht zu beantworten: ein Bösewicht darf niemals Eindimensional sein.
Für mich wird dieser Charakter erst richtig interessant, wenn er greifbar gemacht wird, und man im Laufe der Geschichte vielleicht erahnen kann, was seine eigentlichen Beweggründe sind. Welche Motive ihn dazu bringen, zu tun, was er eben tut. Das seine Taten dadurch weniger "böse" erscheinen, oder sogar vertretbar, auf keinen Fall. Der Antagonist hat seinen Job nicht ohne Grund😅
Jedoch liebe ich die tragischen Geschichten von Bösewichten hinter der eigentlichen Story einfach🧡 muss dabei unwillkürlich an Anakin Skywalker denken, finde das ein sehr gutes Beispiel ( und hoffe gerade niemanden damit gespoilert zu haben😁🚀🧡)

Es gibt nicht nur Schwarz und Weiß, und das macht den Reiz eines guten Antagonisten aus. Denken wir nur alle an Moraly Grey Charaktere😇🥰

Wie denkt ihr darüber? Was braucht es um für euch ein guter Antagonist zu sein?

•last: so these last few days i had a 3 days break from school so i read something.... (4 books)
Anyway, i finished the shadow and bone series (finally)!! It was allright ig but not on my top 3 trilogy tbh (i only read them for soc hehehe) but nonetheless they were cute
I also read a book of Penelope Douglas cuz i was bored and i read Birthday girl (you can see how much of a mood reader i am lol, these two books are SO different 😭) and this book reminded me of all the sleepless nights reading stuff on wattpad lmao so it brought up good memories

•now: im reading 2/3 books now hehe
I've started six of crows and omg im 20 pages in and im already obsessed with inej 🤚🏻. Then i also started the final gambit and when nash popped up i was gonna cryyyyyy, i missed that dude sm 😭
Now im gonna start king of pride i think since im very very curious.

•next: well, cant tell for sure but im definitely reading croocked kingdom and i'll start nikoali's duology!!! Once i finish this series i will not know what do with my life bruh

hi! i’m back from my mini-hiatus with a #whatthisweek to catch up with you guys!

what am i reading?
— i am currently reading persuasion by jane austen and the seven habits of highly effective people by stephen covey. i’m loving persuasion so far!
— i have a thousand ships by natalie haynes and white oleander by janet fitch borrowed from the library, but i have yet to start them.

what i am watching?
— this week i’ve been loving alexander james travel and hannah lee duggan on youtube!! hannah’s homestead is literally my dream home and i love watching her put it all together. i also have a deep desire to travel and alex is only just adding fuel to the fire.
— i’m not an avid show watcher, so i don’t often have shows on the go. but my mom and i want to start the handmaid’s tale this week!

what am i listening to?
— the music i’m listening to this week include my hans zimmer playlist, noah kahan’s entire discovery, and the phantom of the opera soundtrack.

what am i looking forward to?
— summer! my exams are finally done and the winter semester is over, which means more time for reading!!
— i am going to see the musical hamilton for the first time on the weekend! my mom got us tickets for christmas and i am very excited!
