Our girl Claire is ready to celebrate in the best way! @cclairehunter is legally allowed to take her first drink today and we want to give her a big cheers to celebrate the hard work and growth that she has exhibited this past year!

As Lead over our front of house, Claire has really challenged herself to learn more about operations, customer experience, and leadership. She’s got excellent organization skills and is on top of all the tasks. We’re so excited to walk her through more of what it means to be in management with our team. She’s so open to coaching and brings a lot of positivity to the team.

Happiest Birthday to you Claire! We hope your night is full of lots of “cheers” 🥂. We adore you and appreciate all you do ❤️

Coming up on 9 years of business owning and it’s interesting how much the struggles have taught me to see and focus on how much good there is.

Our location managers @collinjae @carissamongelli and @ceceliadiane got to celebrate together another year of top account performance as a Titanium salon for @davinesnorthamerica 👏.

This is a huge accomplishment. We are really proud of it! We are joined by other salon owners from North America who are in the top 10% of retail sales revenue and have been invited to celebrate the hardwork in Valencia, Spain at the Worldwide Hair Tour with our team. The opportunity means the world to us.

Big thank you to our distributor @modernsalonservicesaustin and @heather.modern for helping us reach our goals.

I also want to mention how amazing it feels to be able to leave the country with our salon managers and know that our Lead location managers @robertsparrowhair @mbhues @gracemarie.beauty as well as our Front Desk managers Heidi and Claire have eveything under control. That feeling is something that took years in the making and that I will forever be grateful for. They are all a dream and I’ve learned so much from them. Great things happen in numbers. Training up our wonderful team has been proof of the truth of that. Delegating, listening to one another’s ideas, learning from others, being curious, remaining open minded and ready to pivot, it’s all changed our business so much.

I also want to thank our Education phase leads @beautyby.marinicia @hairmarissa.v and @hairhimbo for holding down our Monday education days as well as all 14 of our amazing educators from all three locations.

We talk to owners from all over the world and NO ONE does education like Deep Roots. No one.

Big congrats and thank you to our Davines Envoy team members @whittneyjosephinehair @hairmarissa.v and @manebycara 🙏. They keep us on the up and up!

Thank you to everyone that calls our small business their salon home. We appreciate all you do at the core of our why is
L❤️VE and I hope everyone there can feel that 🫶

Happy Birthday to our Deep Roots baddie boss @collinjae 💓

Collin has been with our team for 6 years managing our locations. The last few years have been spent solely at our Cedar Park location, leading our amazing team there to so much success.

She has inspired, coached, and grown the stylists and the team over years and it’s become a haven for success, support, positive vibes, mentorship, and the best company culture out there.

Organization, patience, empathetic, systems and operations oriented, Collin is a rockstar ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Both in and out of work, what’s not to LOVE about her!

As a @davinesnorthamerica Titanium salon, part of our management team headed to Spain this week and now Collin gets to celebrate today in style in Barcelona! We are so proud to call you our friend and we are so grateful for your leadership and hard work Collin🙏

Thank you for all your do @collinjae and HAPPY BIRTHDAY from your team🥳

Our final price of advice in this serious about owning a business…

Communication is key. We hear it all the time but understanding that and practicing that is another thing.

We’ve learned a lot of lessons along the way. In the beginning, while we were still building that solid foundation, the communication lacked a little. Now we follow the 24 hour rule with one another and with the amazing people we work with. Waiting to talk is never helpful, and not being upfront in a kind and constructive way, in a conversation that can give and receive will get you nowhere.

Owning 3 salons has really taught us so much both in and out of work as people. There are not two better partners that yin and yang like Haven and Mel. It takes work, it takes intention, it takes truth with yourself, and it takes a “why” that aligns to be successful at owning a business.

This partnership stands on solid ground because of the things that came along to try to crack that foundation. We can do hard things together. Life has a way of taking care of you, if you care about taking care of others 💓

It’s a tiny detail—until your earrings start pulling on it. ✨

In this earlobe correction, we added volume around the elongated piercing opening to give the lobe a fuller, more youthful appearance and help create better support for earrings. The opening is still there; the surrounding tissue looks less stretched.

Whether an earring will sit comfortably depends on the piercing and the weight of the jewelry, so we assess each lobe individually.

✨ TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY ✨

A little can go a long way. 🤍

This transformation was all about subtle refinement—not changing her features, but restoring balance and harmony.

We subtly:
• Added chin projection to create a more balanced, oval facial shape
• Improved subtle lip asymmetry for a more harmonious smile
• Softened the appearance of the nasolabial folds
• Reduced the look of marionette lines and chin shadowing
• Restored gentle structure and support where it was needed

The goal was never to make her look “done.”
It was to help her look refreshed, balanced, and naturally rejuvenated.

Sometimes the most beautiful transformations are the ones where people simply say:

“You look so good… did you do something different?” ✨

A little refinement. A little restoration.
A softer, more youthful version of you—without looking like a different you.

And yes… sometimes subtle changes can turn back the clock without anyone knowing exactly why. 🤍

Individual results vary. Treatment plan and results are unique to each patient.

How does one balance owning and operating businesses and life???

If there was one simple answer we would all be doing it but the truth is there just isn’t. It happens from messing up and pivoting and adjusting as a result of the mess up. Pattern recognition is huge and everyone’s capacity and tolerance is different.

What we do know…a healthy and partnership is a must. One founded on trust and respect and care. Self care is a must. Put your mask on first and then those around you. It’s a vital part of others success. Delegation is another huge one. We have such amazing team because as owners we don’t try ti control every aspect of the business. We are aware and we coach daily but we build leaders by giving others the opportunity to show up and contribute. It’s the only way.

We’re not perfect. We are people and we have made plenty of errors in our decisions over the 9 years but we do our best and we love our families and businesses and the people in them and with the right person by your side, you can do it all.
