I recently visited The Glasshouse Collective in Chobham, a unique space bringing together garden designers, landscapers and clients.

This is a fantastic way to demonstrate to clients what elements in outdoor living feel like. 3D visuals and images can only get you so far. Immersion is another level.

It was lovely to see how specialist products and features can work together, and to explore a place designed for sharing ideas, learning and collaboration across the outdoor living industry.

AD | Tradies Table with @weberuk

And today it’s about the absolute workhorse that’s been fuelling the lads throughout this entire series the Weber Slate XL.

One of the biggest questions I get in my DMs about grills and planchas is maintenance. Traditional cast iron needs looking after — seasoning, protecting it from rust and generally giving it a bit of love.

The Slate uses a porcelain-enamelled cast-iron cooktop, so there’s no seasoning required and it’s rust-resistant. For me, that means turn it on, get it hot and start cooking.

And the XL size has been perfect for Tradies Table. Loads of cooking space means I can get everything on together and feed the whole crew at once because these lads definitely don’t like waiting for breakfast. 😂

24 hours in London… Texas BBQ, Meatopia and a couple of cheeky Bourbons!!

A flying 24 hours in London and, unsurprisingly, most of it revolved around meat, fire and good food.

First stop was @thenedlondon where we were invited along to experience the incredible @interstellarbbq x @la_barbecue Texas BBQ residency.

John from InterStellar BBQ and Ali from la Barbecue are two legendary Austin pitmasters, both with MICHELIN recognition to their names, and even better, they’re also two of the pitmasters joining us for the masterclasses on our next @sizzletours Texas BBQ Tour in February!

Safe to say, after getting another taste of what these guys can do, our guests are in for something very special.

The InterStellar BBQ x la Barbecue residency is running at The Ned, London from 3rd September to 4th October, bringing a proper taste of Austin, Texas to the middle of London.

Then it was over to Tobacco Dock for @meatopiauk for a night of meat, fire, smoke, music and a cracking bourbon masterclass with @elijahcraiguk

One of the best bits though was simply catching up with so many friends from the BBQ and food world, having a laugh, eating far too much and, for once, enjoying the fire without actually having to cook anything ourselves!

Not a bad way to spend 24 hours in London.

I’VE MOVED INTO MY BBQ SHACK! 🎉🔥🍔

After 6 tonnes of concrete, 42 sleepers and a whole lot of everything else, my @hb_oakframes BBQ shack has finally arrived!

It’s 2.5m x 3m with a rustic tin roof and I absolutely love it. 🔥

I’ve already moved everything in, the grills are in position and most importantly… everything is functional!

The next mission is finding the ultimate work table. I haven’t quite found what I want yet, so I’m thinking I might have to build something out of timber or clad what we’ve already got to make it properly fit the space.

And the garden project definitely isn’t finished yet…

Next up is the dedicated @kadai.uk area — a big open cooking and firepit space surrounded by sleepers for seating and loads of Cotswold stone.

Then, after months of concrete, timber and construction, it’ll finally be time to bring some nature back into the garden. 🌿

Loads of pots, climbers and greenery to soften everything up and get the whole space ready for autumn.

Kebab HQ is officially taking shape. 🔥🍖
