🎶🖤🎶 @ihaveadreampop @telepathicwindows Get @reshare_app • @_theveldt Kentucky native and Avant-Electro-Pop artist Honeychild Coleman has shared the bill with Cibo Matto, Rasputina, Mike Ladd, Sarah Dorgher, Radio 4, APSCI, Beans, Imani Coppola and TV on The Radio. Known to combine custom electric mountain dulcimer with 1960’s surf guitars and live loops in accompaniment to her ethereal vocals, Coleman presents a sonic decoupage both onstage and on the many records she has contributed to. 🎶 ECHELON (beats by @damaliyoung ) 🖤 Honeychild Coleman’s DEM featuring @bizdrummer @monkamericana and @livijeanjackson play @pianosnyc Upstairs Sat 10/24! #ihaveadreampop #shoegaze #afrogaze #dreampop

@hccoleman August 19,2016 @gkatheband had played our first show and began writing more songs. Fueled by the political climate and drum machines. I love that @creaturenomics referred to our sound as Freestyle as we are both big fans of the genre. Keep creating art, we need to move our bodies and release this pressure. Also, hanging out in the garden rocks. #musicistheweapon.

@hccoleman At the top of May, I had the pleasure of attending PunkCon 2026.

There I lead my very first ‘zine workshop, taking a hands-on approach to collage, discovering personal themes, and physical layout.

Amazon of Punkdemik moderated a panel featuring three generations of Black and Brown punk women. I was a guest AND got to meet Los Angeles legend Taquila Mockingbird!

At the end of the convention,PunkCon hosted a night of music, drag performers, and local artisan vendors at Sliced Pizza. There I performed songs from my solo catalog and my band The 1865.

It was a weekend filled with sunshine, camaraderie, education, and creativity-my crafty nerd heart is FULL of joy!

Super thank you to Marlen, Susy, UNLV and the entire PunkCon Crew for having us! And a special shoutout to Ms.Lisa and Gloria for joining us from Cali.

“First, an admission: I completely forgot that Carolyn “Honeychild” Coleman sang. Yep, I forgot she contributed aggressive, guitar-cruncher “Spit At It” on the BRC’s 2006 “Rock n Roll Reparations” compilation. Just didn’t connect the name and the person. Probably because I’ve most recently seen her as one of the rhythm guitarists in Apollo Heights. And, even more recently, she DJ’d the Boldaslove.us CMJ showcase in October.”......
