POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The past few weeks have been really exciting for us. Last weekend, @healive.studio officially opened its doors inside BARESPACE and just like that, we now have a practice and movement studio in the space.

The studio now hosts HEALIVE.’s sessions while also remaining open for part time rentals.

Huge thanks to @canbora.berika for the enthusiasm, care, and collaboration. And many thanks to our amazing friends who made the day even more special!

Feel free to check out the @healive.studio agenda and you’re always welcome to bring your own ideas, concepts, and business plans into the studio!

“Rituals are to time what a home is to space: they render time habitable.”
— Byung-Chul Han

Workshop Description (Registration link in bio)
In this movement-based workshop, participants will explore the transformative power of rituals as gateways to self-connection and collective embodied experience. The journey begins individually: each participant identifies a personal need rooted in lived experience and investigates it through the body, engaging with liminality, repetition, and the ecstatic body.
As the process unfolds, attention shifts toward interconnectedness, examining what it means to move, sense, and imagine the future together as a community. Through somatic practices and perception-expanding exercises, participants will rediscover the body as a site of both personal and collective transformation. Together, we will reflect on how individual needs intersect with broader social realities, and how embodied rituals can cultivate clarity, care, and resistance.
All participants will also receive an e-booklet with references and resources related to the workshop themes.

Who is it for?
This workshop welcomes:
• Body-based practitioners
• Performance artists
• Somatic explorers
• Ritual researchers
• Anyone interested in personal and collective transformation

About the facilitator
Can Bora is a queer somatic visual and performance artist based in Amsterdam. His practice weaves together theatricality, movement, performance art, and multimedia in search of a fluid, non-hierarchical dialogue between disciplines. Rooted in rituals, connectivity, and the entanglement of personal and political experience, his work often invites audiences into participatory and sensorial encounters.
He is the creator of Henna Night Reimagined, a ritual-performance that premiered at Podium Mozaïek in Amsterdam, and has facilitated embodied ritual workshops at international gatherings such as Redemore – (Re)Union V Biennial Performative Arts Meeting. Beyond his artistic works, Can is the founder of HEALIVE., a platform that merges somatic practice, creativity, and transformation.

“Rituals are to time what a home is to space: they render time habitable.”
— Byung-Chul Han

In this movement-based workshop, participants will explore the transformative power of rituals as a gateway to self-connection and collective embodied experience. The process begins individually: each participant identifies a personal need rooted in lived experience and creates a movement-based ritual in response to it. As the workshop unfolds, the focus shifts toward interconnected bodies—investigating what it means to move, feel, and act as a community.

Using somatic techniques and perception-expanding exercises, participants will rediscover the body as a site of both personal and collective transformation. Together, we will interrogate how individual needs intersect with broader social realities, and how embodied rituals can generate clarity, care, and resistance.

The three-day journey offers practical tools for performance experimentation and body-based exploration. While participation in the full program is encouraged for depth and continuity, single-day attendance is also possible.

🌟BSAK 1st Year Anniversary and Community Event 🌟

Behind the scenes moments + a whole lot of preparation = the warmest memory from our very first BSAK community event.

I truly believe the future belongs to communities—spaces where we feel safe, held, and able to heal together through tough times. Celebrating our 1st anniversary in this way was deeply meaningful. It marked the first experience I felt this sense of connection so tangibly through BSAK community coming together, and I’m beyond grateful for the moments and emotions we’ve shared. I can’t wait for what’s next.

This event came to life through everyone’s effort and contributions—each person offering what they do best.
A huge thank you to all the artists who shared their beautiful practices with us. Please do follow and support them!
