Contemporary Dance with Devin every Tuesday 7:00-8:30 pm

A welcoming and safe container, this class rides at an intermediate-level, but is open to all movers, and is consistently filled with dancers ranging from beginners to advanced…creating a supportive community where everyone is encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Class begins with an energizing warm-up rooted in functional movement, skeletal alignment, and influences from modern dance, ballet, yoga, building strength, mobility, and body awareness.

From there, dancers learn an original contemporary phrase, using choreography as an opportunity to explore personal expression through dynamic contrast, weight shifts, musicality, texture, and nuance.

Return of the moon in Taurus
on the day of my solar return
August 5th
Apparently this only happens every 19 years..
A rebirth - my dear witchy wonder friends who know far more than I about astrology say
Resonating relatability, a time to let go of what is not serving me
Obstacles obstructing,
my growth, loving & living more fully
Deciding in dedication who I want to be
My 5th week of therapy
A new depth, breadth, expanding
feeling love, compassion, joy, pride,
for all the multitudes of me
Parts work acquainting
baby, toddler, seven adolescence, 16, 27, 38
They say time slows down when you’re learning
Let me be a student of this wonder filled world,
this mysterious universe
in the depths and expanses within me
a reflection
light on water
you are me, all time, infinity
grateful for now, from end, and to the beginning

Photo taken by mi amor, the fabulous and talented @she.is.water
Thank you for seeing me, good, bad, and ugly.. and loving me, genuinely

because dance is so profound it’s always such a strange thing for me to photograph… i don’t have much draw to the crisp lines of sports photography, but rather long for poetry to hold the weight of the movements. outstanding work to Dev and her company and Natasha and Ella and all my friends who worked on this piece, this show brought me to my knees 🍽️
