New headshot (and title) alert šŸ™ˆšŸ“ˆ Five and a half short years ago, I walked into ESPN as an intern, wide-eyed and unsure of where this journey would take me. Since then, Iā€™ve grown in ways I never imaginedā€”pushed by opportunities I didnā€™t see coming, colleagues who believed in me, and challenges that taught me more than I thought I was ready to learn. Today, Iā€™m excited (and honestly a little emotional) to share that Iā€™ve been promoted to Director, ESPN NEXT & Cross Platform Development. In this new role, Iā€™ll continue to work with the ESPN NEXT programā€”the same one that gave me my startā€”while also expanding my focus to include cross-platform development work for the Global Sports team. This promotion means the world to meā€”not just because of the title but because of what it represents. Itā€™s a culmination of countless coffee chats, emails, introductions, and meetings that people graciously took with me, even when their schedules were packed. To those who saw potential in me before I saw it in myself, who sent the extra email, gave me a little tough love, made the key introduction, or simply said, ā€˜Iā€™ve got youā€™ā€”you know who you are. Your belief in me has been a game-changer, and I carry it with me every day. I donā€™t do a great job at sharing the work Iā€™ve done, so hereā€™s a little walk down memory lane to celebrate the journey so far. I couldnā€™t be prouder of how far Iā€™ve comeā€”and I canā€™t wait to see whatā€™s NEXT. šŸ“ø @melissakr13 šŸ’‡šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø @paintloveblend
