⛈️ ☔️ In July, STRONG Pilates experienced multiple floods during the heavy rainfall across Edmonton. The first came on the day of their grand opening, forcing the studio to shut down just as they were getting started.

Pioneer stepped in to help put the space back together and get the doors open again as quickly as possible. The goal was simple: restore the studio properly, take care of the details, and get the STRONG team back to doing what they do best. We’re proud of the result, and seeing the team happy with their space means a lot.

Despite the challenging start, this has been a rewarding project for our crew. We’re down to the final details, with more footage and a closer look at the finished studio still to come.

Thank you to STRONG for trusting Pioneer, and to every trade partner who helped bring the studio back.

Our first weekend back in the Brewery District, done!

In July, a storm took this room out on the day we opened. We spent the months after that pulling up floors, waiting on answers and putting it all back together.

Then this weekend we saw the room full and everyone smiling, and that made all of it worth it!

A big thank you to everyone who came through our doors, to our instructors for holding the room, and to everyone who stayed after class to chat. Thank you as well to @bigbearmatcha.yeg , @theartofcakeyeg , @dotsstores and @toastandpose for helping make the weekend feel so special.

The room is only as strong as its people. 🤍

❤️ Why not show a little love to this beauty today…

Almost 30 years of marriage, and I still look at this woman and wonder how I got so blessed.

She’s walked with me through some incredible highs, some pretty difficult lows, a few crazy ideas, and more than a handful of moments where I’m sure she wondered what she’d signed up for. 😂

She’s been my biggest supporter, my greatest encourager, and the one who’s never been afraid to tell me what I need to hear, even when I didn’t want to hear it.

Life moves fast, and sometimes we get so caught up in everything we’re chasing, building, and trying to accomplish that we forget to stop and appreciate the person who’s been beside us through it all.

So today, for no particular reason, I’m celebrating her.

Still my favourite person. Still my best friend. Still the one I’d choose all over again.

Love you, beautiful. ❤️

Pioneer is a new company. The values behind it aren’t.

Early in my dad’s career, he worked with his hands. Over time, he took what he’d learned in the trades and translated it into helping lead and build the company he once worked for.

He was an old-school tradesman who valued relationships. And whether he realized it or not, he instilled a lot of those old-school values in me.

Your word mattered. A handshake meant something. You showed up. You worked hard. You treated people right. And you took pride in putting your name on the finished product.

That’s what the Pioneer Heritage Collection is about.

It’s a nod to my dad, to the tradesmen and tradeswomen in my family, and to a generation of people who built things with their hands and built their reputations by how they conducted themselves.

A generation that valued integrity over the bottom line.

Workmanship over getting to the next job.

Relationships over transactions.

Partnerships over short-term profit.

And a good name over the almighty dollar.

We were open for one day.

Here’s where things stand, and the part we’ve been waiting to tell you.

The Pilates room is finished. New walls, fresh paint, rowformers back in place. We’re working on reception and the waiting area now, and we’re aiming to reopen in October.
