🌟 IT’S TIME TO GO-GO 🌟

It’s all came and gone so fast!

Some of the things we do in comedy are just for the love of the game—true comedy masochists, really.

But what we couldn’t have expected was the incredible support we received along the way.

Starting with a sold out show at Heaton Pride to moving to an even larger venue for Durham Fringe Festival.

Needless to say, we couldn’t have done it without an audience. Thank you all so much for coming out and cheering us on!

A huge thank you to Heaton Pride, our venue Last Resort, and their staff for hosting our sold-out show.

And a huge thank you to Durham Fringe Festival, their wonderful volunteers, and our venue, Fabio’s Bar.

And of course, a HUGE thanks to Pheebs Stephenson. It’s a real comedy milestone to perform your first split-bill comedy show— Thank you so much for trusting me to be apart of yours!

Hands up who had an amazing time at Heaton Pride? 🙋 Hands up who forgot to scan the QR code to donate? 🙋 (we’ve all been there)

Look at all these amazing events the team worked so hard to put on :’)

Did you make a patch at the workshop? Or enjoy some of the amazing pop-up performances?

Lots of people did donate in cash - thank you!! Final amount raised will be announced soon

If you can afford to, support your local queer community and help The Wardrobe fund their new home! (link in bio)

Thanks to the Heaton Pride team for these gorgeous photos, specifically Sarah, Chris and @frankieplayspiano 🙏

We had a fabulous gig at the shop on Friday night to celebrate Heaton Pride!
Hearken Quartet played magnificently and got everyone up and dancing. It was a beautiful atmosphere and seeing everyone enjoying themselves and dancing round the flowers in the evening sunshine brought a tear to my eye!
Many thanks to @hearkenquartet and to @sol_sayal_ and @poppy____bedford for their stunning support set with fiddle and their gorgeous, harmonious singing!
We will definitely do this again, and we hope for another gig end of August sometime!
Many thanks to the folks at @heatonpride for all their organising and the lovely decor!

A warm, sunny Monday evening, that turned a bit cold towards the end, saw GoodGym Newcastle assisting Heaton Pride with their post-event clean up around the local area.

Six GoodGymers set out from Stepney Bank Stables towards Heaton, picking some litter as we went. As usual, South View West was heavily littered. No matter how many times we pick litter up in that street, it always returns. A couple of passers-by were keen to offer thanks, which is always nice to hear.

We got to Heaton Road and The Last Resort pub a while after Heaton Pride’s own band of litter pickers. Between the two groups, virtually all of the litter was bagged and binned.

Well done to Nour for reaching the mini milestone of 10 good deeds tonight!

Link to report also in our bio.
