A little Sunday matcha moment 🍵💚 I spent the afternoon at Matcha Lab’s Brewing Workshop at Heer Studio, and this was such a special hands-on experience. We got to sample two different types of matcha, learn more about how they’re prepared, and then create our own specialty matcha drink from scratch (with chocolate, oreo and whipped cream). I loved how interactive and intimate the class felt, especially being able to make something ourselves rather than just watch a demonstration. Matcha making 101 with @heerpottery 🍵 We recently attended one of Heer Pottery’s Matcha Lab Brewing workshops and made their yummy Snow Mountain drink. @heerpottery currently offer 3 different matcha making workshops but this one was perfect for those just starting out of their matcha journey 💚 Our instructor Iris demonstrated the basics of making matcha the traditional way and explained the different grades and materials used in the process. We then sampled some warm matcha she prepared for us before assembling our own iced matcha creation with chocolate, Oreo’ and whipped cream for a little extra indulgence. It was a great way to try matcha in different ways and the sweet drink we created is ideal for those who find matcha on its own a little too earthy or bitter. Confession: I’ve never really been a matcha person 🍵 My husband, on the other hand, is obsessed😍 I actually got him a matcha set for his birthday. So when I found out Heer Pottery @heerpottery in Box Hill runs a matcha workshop, it felt like the obvious date idea and took him there for Fathers’ Day💁🏻‍♀️ Turns out there’s real technique to it! Different matcha grades, the right ratios, how it actually changes the taste. Not what I expected walking in. If you’re after a date idea that isn’t just dinner + a movie, this is such an easy yes. A pottery painting workshop in Melbourne 🎨 Painting my own ceramic reminded me that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful. From choosing my ceramic to picking the perfect colours, every little decision felt like a reflection of life. Some choices are permanent when baked in, while others can wait and mistakes can always become part of the design. Progress is easy to miss when you’re focused on creating, so sometimes you have to pause and look back. I may still chase perfection, but I’m learning that everyone is at a different stage.
