Dx An artwork for the tracklist for the Radio Buena Vida show Dreaming. The image features a pattern effect of illustratjons of a rabbit, a votive coin, and a triskelionn, an ancient symbol of three human legs interlocked into spiral pattern. These are chaotically placed across the page, and we're made in wax pastel so have a hazy, grainy texture with a pink-red hue.

The text is the usual title in the top left: "Dreaming", and in the bottom left is the date of broadcast 11.10.26 and the station Radio Buena Vida. The website info is in the opposite bottom right corner of the page where you can listen to the show: soundcloud.com/dddreaminggg and buenavida.co.uk

Iker Munduate - Sinkronia (Hegoa Records)
👇
Sinhronizujuci pomenute strane sveta i njihove kompatibilne estetike (kao sto i sam naslov nagovestava), on usput sakuplja i uticaje drugih podneblja, stilova i zanrova, sveukupno "ogrcuci" repetitivni ritam sinteticko-akusticno-elektricnim "zvucnim plastom".

Iker na albumu potpuno sam svira
sintisajzere, elektricnu gitaru, rucne bubnjeve, ksilofon i druge raznolike perkusije, uspevajuci da nam, uprkos brojnim instrumentima, pruzi jasnu, preciznu i sveobuhvatno koherentnu izjavu vrednu paznje ljubitelja minimalistickog zvuka.

Najveca moguca preporuka!!!

ºIKER MUNDUATE – SINKRONIA

Hegoa Records / Spain / 2026

Un traballo que amosa a súa evolución dende a urxencia do screamo e o punk ata a precisión case arquitectónica e meditativa do minimalismo.

Aproveitando o lanzamento, recuperamos na tenda as derradeiras copias de Argi Zantzuak (2024) -o seu debut en vinilo con Hegoa, hoxe xa descatalogado-, unha xoia imprescindible do ambient e do Kankyō Ongaku ibérico.

Thanks: @hegoadiskak @ikermundu

Iker Munduate - Sinkronia LP (Hegoa, 2026) in stock now!

"“Iker Munduate is an artist and musician who brings a delicate sense of composition and design... Inspired in part by new age music, Its rippling melodies and frictionless glide recall the futuristic utopias of Detroit Escalator Company and the interior reverie of Nobukazu Takemura (Derek Walmsley, The Wire Dec’24)”

Continuing from where he left it 2 years ago after a sold out debut LP released on Hegoa, Iker is back with his follow up “Sinkronia”. A gripping take on Eastern and Western minimalist traditions influenced by the likes of Steve Reich, Suso Saiz or Midori Takada. Transcendental and esoteric rhythmic wonders that take time to unfold. A young percussionist and guitar player with electronic interests displaying a rich sonority and a great sense of structure and arrangements. This record shows the refinement of Iker’s attributes, who initially worked in the noise/punk scene and now is part of the local Free Jazz/Improv landscape of San Sebastian, although he currently lives in New York where he has been playing several gigs including a rendition of Glenn Branca’s Symphony No.13 at Lincoln center with 100 guitarists. For this new album he uses Xylophone, hand drums, electric guitar, synths and percussion instruments that guide us in an energetic way to territories somewhere between Italian avant-garde, Japanese New Age and American Minimalism.

Iker Munduate Thusberg is a Basque multi-instrumentalist born and raised in San Sebastian and with strong ties to Mikkeli in Finland, where half of his family are from. A fine arts student at Bilbao’s UPV (Basque university), his interest in sound, art and design has led him to combine all these different disciplines and convey them into his music and his work."

Whilst I am in full on recuperatin' mode it is helped along by yet another care package from Discreet with four recents featuring varying degrees of transcendental beauty. So clockwise we have from top left, Early Music, latest release from the indespensible Discreet gang, Geraldine latest cdr from the incomparable Förfall imprint, new lp from Lluch on the always impressive Hegoa Records & last but by no means least a new tape from the immersive Järnakollektivet. All of these are pretty damn gorgeous giving us a wonderful mix of minimalist, folk, drone, ambient music.
