Tuesdays 7-8pm - Starts Oct 13th! Welcome back Heidi's wonderful Happy Backs class!

Relax and release your back.
This is a slower paced class for those with stiff and/or knotted backs who want to find both length and strength in their spine.

In this class we will work on strengthening the postural muscles and finding traction in the spine. We will utilize the breath to create space in the thoracic cavity and engage our core muscles to find stability throughout the back.

Leave with a realigned healthy spine.

Join us this Friday, July 25, at 6pm for a talk with North of the 45th juror, Rebecca Heidenberg, with a reception to follow! This event is free and open to all.

Heidenberg writes:
I was delighted to have the opportunity to be the juror of North of the 45th, the Annual Juried Upper Midwest Art Exhibition. Studying the submissions, I was thrilled to see the diversity of materials, perspectives and subjects offered by artists in the region. Curatorially, I am always looking for threads that run through artworks and the potential for the spark of new connections and conversations between them. I immediately noticed the landscape as an important subject matter, as well as a sensibility that intonates undercuts of longing, wistfulness and of intimacy, which I sought to emphasize in the selections. A strong sense of place began to emerge in the juxtaposition of landscape, portraits, art historical references, abstraction and spiritualist work. In these times of deep instability, I think each piece in this exhibition, and the space between them, offers the gift of quiet contemplation. I invite you to spend time with the artworks and to be transported, wherever it may take you.

Upcoming exhibition Within The Threshold by Heidi Wanzek turns attention to specific moments in human made and natural objects in the life/death/life cycle and its relation to the human experience.

These are not moments of finality, but rather a liminal space—a place between what was and what will be.

In our culture we turn away from these in between spaces in this cycle. We discard, sanitize, and move on.

Might we ask: what happens if we lingered here?

Opening date: 06.23.25
Art Reception: 07.24.25
