Heights is an Economic Mobility Catalyst creating pathways to educational and workforce success for Philly youth.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Heights Philadelphia is an economic mobility catalyst with a bold vision: that all Philadelphia students achieve economic mobility through educational and workforce success. They make this possible by providing 1:1 college and career advising, developing career pathways, building supportive communities, and leveraging strategic partnerships.
This past year, Heights served 4,474 Philadelphia students through their core programming. Among them is Laila Warrick (Swarthmore '28), who shared that Heights gave her the confidence and sense of belonging needed to navigate STEM spaces as she prepares for a career as an epidemiologist. Driven by her experience, Laila returned this past summer to serve as an instructor and mentor for a Heights summer STEM course.
We’re proud to support Heights Philadelphia as they ensure every student has the tools, resources, and opportunities necessary to break the cycle of generational poverty, achieve economic mobility, and fully step into the confidence that they belong.

40 college students. Three days at Universal Epic Universe. One unforgettable experience.

At Comcast, we’re investing in a future of unlimited possibilities. During the Inspiring Future Innovators Summit, we brought students together with partner organizations and industry leaders for hands-on learning and career exploration, helping the next generation build the skills, confidence and connections to shape the future.

On Monday, our Instruments for Success students learned how to make the most of their attendance at College and Trades School Fairs, including what to wear, which questions to ask, what to bring, and how to follow up with schools and admissions officers.

Then, on Wednesday, students and parents heard directly from counselors and admissions officers from Bryn Mawr College, Community College of Philadelphia, Lincoln University, and Temple University Boyer College of Music and Dance at our Find Your Next Panel and discussion.

🧪 Mentorship through STEM 🔬

Last month, the College of Engineering and Heights Philadelphia completed their fifth consecutive summer research program, placing Philadelphia high school students in labs for hands-on research experience. Inspiring the next generation of leaders! ✨

Yesterday, Juniata Park Academy had the honor of welcoming the leadership team from The Philadelphia High School for Girls to speak with our 8th-grade girls about the high school selection process and why they should choose GHS.

From academic excellence to lifelong sisterhood, they showed our scholars what it means to lead, achieve, and thrive at Girls’ High. Our 8th graders left the session feeling empowered, motivated, and excited for their next chapter! 💜💛

A special thank-you to the Girls’ High administration for visiting our halls and pouring into our JPA girls:
⭐️Principal Argro
⭐️Assistant Principal Hale
⭐️Assistant Principal McClenton

Thank you for showing our scholars what is possible!

Today, I’m going back to where opportunity helped change the trajectory of my life.

Long before Wall Street, entrepreneurship, real estate, or becoming a two-time USA TODAY Best-Selling Author, Philadelphia Futures—now part of Heights Philadelphia—helped me see possibilities beyond my circumstances.

Today, I get to pay that investment forward by joining fellow Heights Philadelphia alumni for the Alumni Career Dilly Dally and connecting with the next generation of leaders around entrepreneurship.

📍 Heights Philadelphia, 123 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia
📅 August 13
⏰ 5:30 p.m.

If you’re part of the Heights alumni community, I hope to see you there.
